Happy 49 Don - and it's nice to know that there's someone older than me here. We were married in Feb 1964.

Happy anniversary Don.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Happy Anniversary, Don! I turned 50 last September and I haven't married... yet. So, I will never get to see that wedding anniversary, I'm sure. Quite an achievement

Congrats, Don and Missus Don!

Marriage is a wonderful and sacred thing to be cherished.

And it ain't easy to stay married.

Takes plenty of everything to keep it together.

And as with anything else, good work pays off.

Many happy returns of the day, sir!

But I don't think you were the only ground-poundin' shavetail ta get married during bootcamp graduation leave, not by any means. I recall a few Airmen whose "honeymoon" was about ten minutes longer than the ceremony...

Hats off to you and the missus, Don.
The former and I only made it to 12 years - I can't even fathom 49.
The longest relationship I have of near that length is my J45.
There's a great song by a Canadian boy - the late Stan Rogers - "45 Years" - some nice picking,
you'll like it.

Awhile back i asked my wife if she remembered how many years we've been married.

She replied that it seemed like forever.

Not sure, but I think one could take that two ways...

Congratulations, Don, to both of you! May you share many more!

My wife and I were married in January, 1964. Every now and then, someone will ask me how long we’ve been married. My typical reply: “I’m proud to say we’ve had 32 happy years together.”

The usual response: “Gosh – that’s great.”

To which I reply, “Yup. 32 happy years out of 45 ain’t all that bad!”

Once, someone actually asked me “What’s the secret to your long marriage?”

My reply: “Just memorize a few key words, and be sure to repeat them to her at least once a month:

Yes, dear. You’re right, I’m wrong. It’ll never happen again.”

A guy once told me that it was his anniversary and that day marked 30 years of happiness.

Then he followed up by saying "One for me, and 29 for her"

Don't I know them! Hasn't helped me much though

Congratulations Don and the better half. Like you, we were married in the service too but right on Base at Camp Kilmer, NJ. We had our 60th last year. Keep going. You’ll make it.

harold,
camp kilmer, nj brings back memories...spent several weeks there waiting to ship out for germany on usns buckner. rode six bunks high in the very bow of the ship, where all the up/down action is, hoping and praying that the guy on the top bunk didn't get sick during the night.

Where I lived I could walk to Camp Kilmer. However, I was stationed at Fort Eustis VA at the time. I think Mac can walk to Fort Eustis or he is very close by. The reason I was married at Kilmer was all the family on both sides lived here in Jersey. No one had to travel to VA. It was 1949. I bet I would not know Fort Eustis today or even if it it still there.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
