Hello Folks,
The chaps who collaborated with me on this provided some video to build on to accompany the song.
Stephen actually provided a video that could/would/should be all that is needed but I embellished it a little:

ray,

Cool video. The track sound comes across well on YouTube.

Stephen's spinning in the shadows effect is very cool. A clever way to do vocals for a video...

Ray, this is great. I really liked your vocals and lyrics. The video was super. The backing tracks were spot on.

This is really a great song!

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Ray & Crew,

Good deal! Video was fun. Finished watching, Stephen still spins in my head smile

The song came out better than I initially thought. I like the sound of Youtube version better than previous on Soundcloud. Thank you for sharing!

Misha.

Hi Ray,

this is, again, a very 'rayish' video which means that it's most remarkable AND I LIKED IT A LOT !!!!

I especially like the effect you used on Stephen and although I've done quite a bit in that field I don't have the slightest idea how you did that. Would you reveal the 'secret' ?

Great, great job, Ray, really good !

All the best for 2020,

Stefan

Great video guys...
I always look forward to your interesting videos...
Like Stephan (Crossroads)...
You seem to put a lot of thought, effort, & planning into them.

BTW:
As I listened to your song again...
I couldn't help but notice a dark similarity to Eleanor Rigby...
I think Eleanor Rigby would have sounded closer to your composition...
If it had been written by John...
Just a thought...
That puts you & Stephen into some pretty high company smile

Mario, thanks!

Wrayer,
the BIAB components are Real Drums, real Track organ ( rendered to mono so it's easier to mix) and Real Track cello with an overdrive VST to help it "cut" a little better.
The rest is Stephen singing and me playing 12 string Rickie knock off, a Squire Mustang and a Vantage bass.
Secret Ingredient...$30 Spring Reverb pedal.

Thanks Blue,
It's full wav in the production of the vid and a different master - one that serves the Utub lord better.

Misha, thank you.
yes the sound quality is better - started from .wav and it's a different master.
Stephen came up with a great idea in the spinning.

The Stephen special technique is him holding his phone above himself and spinning around on his chair using his heel for propulsion. Tiring I suspect, but effective!
Thanks for your kind words.

Thanks Jim.
Once Stephen sent me his video based on his idea the rest was DEAD EASY. It's all down to that fellow.
As to the JL reference - I'll take that and put it in a secret spot to drag out & look at when I'm in a rut.

Man, that sound great. I'm not sure my ears can discriminate it
but the YT version seems a tad more "open."

The obvious thought and work you put into the vid
yielded an excellent result.

After Jim mentioned JL we looked at each other and
said, "yeah!" It is definitely in there. Cool.

Wow!. The video really draws you in.
Reminds of something from the eighties.
Very well crafted.
Excellent tune congrats to all.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
