Hi Folks.
Hans published a song not long ago "Your Song".  I thought it was really cool song, so I asked him if I can get a shot at it, try to make it somewhat different, for fun. Hans was super nice to allowing me to sing it my way, stepping a little off from original.  Ray edited some lyrics on this. So I had 2 text versions of this at my disposal. Original + Ray's. I used what fitted better for my range and made minor adjustments, so I can make it work. Credit goes to Hans, it is his baby, I just done vocals and mixed in. Thank you Hans!  Thank you for listening.

Your Song

Nice delivery and contrast in the dynamics between the verse and the chorus sections.

Thanks for sharing.

I think this is probably my favorite of the songs I have heard from Hans so far.

Nicely done, Misha! I like your vocal, especially like what you did during that last outro chorus, very effective.

Oh, yes, I remember this song by Hans. Loved it then, too. Your version is killer,. Misha. I really like your vocals and the arrangement is perfect. Love those lyrics, Hans!

Enjoy whatever happens!

Hi Misha,

It's a bit strange to judge my own song. Of course my performance is far more better than yours, but still... you've done a fairly nice job! (I had to make this joke, Misha. This sentence was burning in my head...).

But for real; I was flattered by your request to sing this song and you have not disappointed me at all, Misha!
You made it feel as a different song than the original. I told you i was pleasantly surprised by your first version I heard. My wife even more. And this version is even better! I am glad you chose this one.
Your voice is strong and self assured in this song. I do like how you play with the double vocals in the choruses. I will use that one day.
Now Your Song has become Our Song!

Thanks Misha,
Hans

Misha,

This is a terrific vocal performance- subtle changes in intensity and great phrasing.
Nice rhythmic acoustic backing too.
Oh, almost forgot; Han`s wrote a very good song for you to interpret!

Misha,

Very cool. A passionate interpretation of Hans' song.

A strong vocal. The back is excellent. And a solid mix.

Much enjoyed.

I missed Hans' version, and enjoyed listening to both of them.

Don't let Hans hear, but I prefer your dryer vocal version.

What a cool song and a fantastic arrangement! smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Hans' lack of confidence leads to him half hiding his vocal in FX.
The drier vocal goes hand in hand with your confidence Misha.
This is a lovely interpretation.

Cheers

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
