I like quirky!

The guitar solos reminds me a bit of CCR.

Production sounds clean.

I like this a lot. The quirky factor really works - it's got great energy and really moves along and keeps the interest up.

Great ZZ Top groove going on this, Captain! Love the lyrics and your guitar breaks... some nice whistling too.
Well done.

Thanks,
BIAB helped with the bass and drums, then I played several guitar parts to keep it driving along.

That guitar riff throughout is excellent, your vocals are just fitting for this, guitar leads are suited to the genre.

Overall great sound and lyrics.

Thanks

Thanks Torrey,
Anytime I get a good review of my vocals, I take it to the bank, I really wish I could sing better.

Hi Captain,

'It's so easy to get depressed', but not with your song. Nice beat, funny band, strong lyrics and good vocals.
How many times did you have to record the whistling? It would have taken me hours, and only if I don't start to laugh.

But there is some good news according to your president! You may leave the house before the end of april. Let's hope he is right, otherwise we will hear a new song of you on this subject, agree?

Nice day at home,
Hans

Thanks Hans,
I didn't spend much time on vocals (ha ha probably shows) nor on the whistling.
Some months ago, I participated in a mixing contest on a song that included some whistling.
Ever since then, I've been wanting to incorporate that in a song.
Because I didn't spend much time on lyrics or vocals I thought...what the hell...I try a whistle.
Did it once, that was it!. I think it could have been better if I did a few takes.

Now about "my president":

I don't want to start a political debate however, I wish he wasn't "my president".
I don't trust a thing he says.
I don't like most of what he does.

CaptainM,

Creative piece of music! Got the right "raw" feel. Whistling was an extra cool touch. Thank you for sharing!

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
