Hello the gentle members,

I am fan of Biab.

It's the first time that i deposed a song made with biab and studio one 4. I presume that it is the good section.

This song( style ballad or easy listening) was, first, created with bab, I used realtracks like quarted strings and fingerpicked guitar. After imported the tracks in studio one 4, some vst were added (mandolin, bass etc. The thema is love for everyone (in the covid19's time).

You can discover my song and my other songs( some other created also with biab) on soundcloud under the name janijackflash.

The link to Rondo of love is

Thanks for your comments

Hi Floyd,
Thanks commenting on my instrumental music. I am a new member of this club and I don't know the rules of this great family. Yesterday I spent over an hour to register and drop off my music. The procedure is not obvious, but I am sure that I could stiffly make comments on your compositions and those of others

@Dero13,

Listened twice to really take it in - there's so much going on here. This is excellent. I think it would work really well as a soundtrack. I can just picture a movie scene where the camera is high above the ground while hills, mountains and trees roll by below. This is one of those songs that you don't appreciate properly the first time around - you have to let it carry you away and really let it sink in. The more I listen the more I like!

Dear club members
I want to thank :
Rob 4580
Janice and Bud
Ironbarkbob (on soundcloud)
for posting an encouraging message about my instrumental music.

Special thanks to
EdZ314
who took his time to analyze my non-standard styles and who brings his time to advise me. I will answer you personally on soundcloud because you are a person that I appreciate.

I have a style that does not fit into the usual styles of Biab but I tried to show you that you could use realtracks to get out of the styles usually used.

You should know that I used melodyn from Celemony to correct some quartet strings and violin lines of the realtracks used. It would be interesting for Biab to create more orchestral realtracks to address musicians touching film soundtracks because the world of music is undergoing profound transformation, especially with the arrival of artificial intelligence which will allow everyone to create music perfectly suited to his feelings and which unfortunately will come at the expense of real musicians. We can see that all the musicians think that they created the musical nugget but the styles change quickly and the young generation is not interested in music that is too sophisticated. When we think that Pink Floyd, ahead of its time, with two chords and a solo guitar in crescendo of five minutes managed to keep thousands of fans going, we have the right to ask ourselves questions about the feelings of the fans.

Friendly and best regard

This is really good and a perfect example of what can be done with RTs, MIDI, and a very creative mind. The mix is spot on. Definitely a song fit for a movie.

I thoroughly enjoyed this.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Dero13,
Nice track! I believe you done a great job managing melody with all the modern and classical instrument lines, everything has it's own space and flows very well. Nice work on mandolin! Liked it.
Thank you for sharing!

Great work, it is as many have said, cinematic. I agree that BIAB should do more strings. I wish they would do fifty more strings RealTracks and sell them separately, I would buy it no problem. Keep up the good work!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
