Hi Folks. There are serious songs... this is not it. Just having fun.  All comments are welcomed. Thank you for listening!

Candy

Lyrics:

Past is hiding in a closet,
Future scratching on my door.
Picture getting very fuzzy..
Where is the doctor in white robe?
Fairies circling under the ceiling,
This numbness feels soo appealing.

You are a chocolate candy in wrapper
You are cold blooded heart trapper
You are double agent on a secret task
You are lawyer for the devil and an angel in one flask

Hesitation casting shadows
"Exit" sign on the wall
Past is pushing hard with elbows
Future is trying to rock my boat.
Fairies circling under the ceiling,
This numbness feels soo appealing.

Wiseman facing an old dilemma
what came first, the chick or egg?
Past is whispering in my ears
Future is waiving body bag
Fairies circling under the ceiling,
This numbness feels soo appealing.

You are a chocolate candy in wrapper
You are cold blooded heart trapper
You are double agent on a secret task
You are lawyer for the devil and an angel in one flask

Another fabulous lyric, Misha.
"You are a chocolate candy in wrapper
You are cold blooded heart trapper".
Priceless.

Love the sound - you consistently come up with cool, inventive grooves.

Catchy melody, clear mix, interesting instrumentation.

Nice ear candy! smile

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

Maybe not a serious song, but a seriously good arrangement. Loved the way you used everything in this and nothing was without musical purpose. Great job.

Seriously, Misha. What a catchy feel. Man, you are such a good poet. Your lyrics always have some wonderful twists. I could copy and paste any couplet as an example. Your vocals area always so engaging and I love the mystery in this one. Excellent choice of musicians/instruments, and all mixed so well. "You are lawyer for the devil and an angel in one flask"

Enjoy whatever happens!

Misha,

I can't express how much I appreciate the work you present here! It's complex but so easy to listen to! You always have so many little things happening in the background that it's hard to catch it all! You've once again creative work worthy of a lot of praise! Thanks, Torrey

Misha, what superlatives have you not heard about this song?
A fantastic song, good/wonderful lyrics and a melody to lick your fingers (if this is the right expression in English).
And all is so well mixed.

Do you remember how we talked about mikes, eq's and mixing problems. Well, in your case they are past tense.

This means I like the song,
Hans

So incredibly inventive - some absolutely lovely touched throughout too many to mention.

You always excel and this is no exception.

Amazing work.

Misha,
fun, clever, and very engaging.
Lots of little things sparkle and grab my attention but the melody and narrative pull me back.
As usual it's a fearless conglomeration of styles and segments that, on paper, shouldn't work but, in the ears, do.

On a technical note:
"Future is waiving body bag"
Using "waive" gives this a very interesting double edge/contradiction.

Love it.

Cheers

Misha, what a masterpiece you have created. Super vocal and lyrics. Love the groove and all of the little intricate interactions you have going on.

Loved it.

The intro percussion pulled me in. The whole song is deliciously captivating.

I particularly love this lyric: "You are a chocolate candy in wrapper/You are cold blooded heart trapper." It doesn't get any better than that.

Another marvelous addition to the Misha genre.

Misha,

Excellent Music.
Excellent Writing (serious or not).
Excellent Production (maybe BEYOND excellent!!). Masterful.

"Innovative" only begins to describe your creations.

You sing with wonderful emotion.

There were times that the bass got a little "heavy" (on my speakers). During those times. it competes with the vocal a bit (clashing with the lower range of the vocal EQ).

You are an Artist.

Just gets better on every listen. You are obviously high on candy or something even stronger creative sugar, just beware the body bag wink The chording somehow makes me think of a James Bond movie themes. Enjoyable intro. Great selection of instruments, nothing too much or not enough. the bolero guitar is perfect fit here. Excellent soloing part with that music box sound. Very expressive vocal track.

Firstly, it's about impossible to top what Ray said in those three sentences. Yep!

"Past is hiding in a closet,
Future scratching on my door."

"You are a chocolate candy in wrapper
You are cold blooded heart trapper"

Wow! And more and more and more. Just having fun? Ok, but in a helluva creative manner.

And that band ... what a great mashup of tracks. Do you start with a style or just roll your own?

And, as always, fine vocal and mix.

Great listen!

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
