On A Dime
A new video and, hey, it’s short! We thought it might be fun to show Janice in situations where you, well, can’t turn on a dime. smile The photos span 25 years (video clips are current) and yep, at nearly 65 she’s still hammering it! Thanks to PG Music, to Janice for tolerating Bud’s video idea (and this write up) and to our friend Peter for the guitar and arrangement.
Comments are always welcomed.

The tech side:
A complete remix/mastering of the audio version posted three years ago.

Janice: arrangement, melody, lead and background vocals / Rode NT1 > Scarlett 212 > Logic Pro X > Nectar 3
Peter: solo guitar/rhythm guitar tracks, arrangement and mix
Bud: lyric, arrangement, mix, mastering, videography & photos

Bass: RT 1012: BluesRock > Waves CLA Bass Rider > Neutron 3

Piano RT 1591: BluesRock > Waves CLA Unplugged (comped from multiple regens)

Rhythm Guitar RT 1585: TexasBluesRockShuffle

Drum Kit: RD BluesRockShuffle / Waves CLA Drums
Additional RD bits (kick and cymbal) tracks: Waves CLA Drums

Snare: Ludwig 600 sample / Neutron 3 eq module / Waves CLA Drums / Thanks to Hear To Learn

Mix: Logic Pro X
Mastering: Logic Channel EQ > Waves LinMB > Ozone Imager > Waves L3 Maximizer > Izotope Tonal Balance > Logic Pro Loudness Meter

Hi, J&B:

UPDATE: OK, the link is working just fine now. Boy that was really cool. The song some rocking blues . . . and the video was awesome. You all do some serious mountain biking. If I'm going to get on a bike, there had better be a paved and very flat road (though all downhill would be fine too). Very impressive!

Hope you are both well,

Deej

J&B...that was crazy good!...the track was perfect and of course Janice's vocals were spot-on, bluesy and note perfect...love the repeat lines...Peter is such a pro and can take a great rhythm track and bring it to life in an incredible way! Also Bud, a track or video or song production is only as good as the producer/sound guy/technician/ chief cook and bottle washer and that's you! Another stunner!

Thanks Deej! Glad you liked it. We both raced for years giving us the opportunity to ride many different trails. Nowadays I (Bud) do my best to keep up with the girl smile

The video is great fun and accompanies a fabulous song...Peter's guitar playing has the sting thing.
Janice is prime.

Enjoyed the video very much, I really can feel the danger and excitement of your hobby. The fast beating band supports the feeling perfectly.

WOW! Great fun indeed!! You guys rock --so so well. Right from the feisty count-in, Janice sings so well, and, man, I love those harmonies. Peter, dude, you kill it every time. I really love your versatility --chops in every category. Bud, you are getting so good at these videos, and I, too, am grateful to Janice for putting up with your suggestions. Surely You see the reward in your tolerance, Janice. {Psst. I know your man is exaggerating wink }. You guys are the masters of teamwork.

Enjoy whatever happens!

What a great video

As usual exceptional vocal, backing tracks, Peter's guitar leads (man he is good!) and Bud's production.

Also as usual I loved it.

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.

Pretty classic rock blues tune. Reminds me of times past. Also gives me an idea of the bike and trails thing you guys do.

Loved this tune. Cool musical backdrop for your video. Amazing shots of Janice riding her bike. Peters guitar work was super as well. Crazy tone. From some of the shots I am pretty sure you can turn on a dime Janice. Lol. Excellent production Bud on the song and the video.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
