If you have BB 2011, go to the RT Stylepicker and filter by accordion- 3 styles should show up.
They can be very versatile, but could use more variety.

Standard accordions normally have 5 sets of reeds, giving them 5 sets of voices which are controlled via couplers above the keyboard. These voices range from musette ( French sounding ) to oboe ( a single reed wonderful for country or slow ballads )
bandonion a combination of a low & high reed great for jazz or others. It'd be nice to have the ability to change those voices in real tracks if the situation asks for it.

The Roland V accordions are becoming more popular. They are really keyboard controllers in the shape of an accordion but no sequencer programs accommodate accordion. The sheet music that accordions use is close to piano but it does have some special nuances such as middle C can be played on both sides similtaneously; however, the bass side will be a 3 note chord button in stead of a singe note. In accordion music the treble note for C will be on the first leger line under the top cleff. The bass note for C will be on the first leger line above the bass cleff. Power Tracks is unable to print music this way. Sometimes I wish I could switch to a screen similar to the guitar fretboard that would show the treble side and the bass button side of an accordion. First you would need to know if there are enough accordion players to make it profitable. There's no shortage of guitar players but accordions --- not so much. This would help tremendously in teaching and developing bass patterns. And as you know, free bass accordions switch to a single note on each button. Free bass is great for jazz but is very difficult for those learning the free bass option. Roland V FR-7x accordions can switch from regular Stradella bass to Free bass with a just the flick of a button. A sequencing program could accommodate this change very easily.

Any accordion player opinions?

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
