The ACW needs some refinements. A couple have been brought up in other forums but I have never seen them posted here. 1) Add the ability to actually do the "fine pitch tuning" in the ACW window. 2) Give the ability to enter the key and time BEFORE the ACW does it's detection. 3) Allow us to make chord corrections BEFORE it goes back to PT or BIAB. 4) The biggest headache is what happens after you "set bar one". The initial lead in bars are a mess in their timing. The song may be 4/4 AFTER bar one but before bar one you can get get bars of 1/32, 1/16, 1/4 and others . . . once this is returned to PT it's hell trying to delete them because it effects the rest of the song, sliding the wave files back and forth. If ultimately you want to import midi into this file you need to have two bars for cc codes etc. Plus the midi aligns itself timing-wise to the new bar tempos so if you are trying to delete these 1/4, 1/32 etc bar measures it throws off the midi timing for the rest of the song. 5) So once the ACW has done it's thing why not give it the ability to set up 2 intro bars (an insert) based on the average tempo of the remainder of the song. I use the ACW to build a band around a live recorded singer guitar player (Me ) and my playing tempos vary in a song. I'm sure others do this as well (duh!). So these refinements would be very helpful. Hope I've explained the problems well. I'm not a programmer so I don't what the programming challenge is. But here's hoping. Ian

I think it would be great if you had the "option" to trim off everything in the WAV file before bar one, and then either have a 0-, 1-, or 2-bar lead-in added incorporated once you get back to PT or BIAB or RB. That way, everything should start exactly right regarding tempo. That would also allow you to "extract" a middle part from a larger pieces just by setting Bar 1 (maybe you just want the chorus of a song; you could just start there). Just a thought.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
