Peter requested reposting in the showcase forum, so here's my first track using biab- done a couple of weeks ago. It's all real tracks and one midi string track that I did with Garritan Personal Orchestra just for a string pad in some spots. I will post the notes about the real tracks used shortly. Thanks for the listen...perhaps again!

Ok, I have to ask, who is playing the guitar?

I love the feel of the composition. Very rich in its feel. An awesome tune!

Me, it's not about how many times you fail, it's about how many times you get back up.
Cop, that's not how field sobriety tests work.

Thank you!

This was all real tracks.

The crunchy guitar solo is from set 31, Distorted Rock Guitar #576 Soloist Bluess BB EV085. Played by Jack Pearson.

The jazz guitar solo is from set 54, Jazz Electric Guitar # 745 Soloist Jazz Ballad SW085. Played by Oliver Gannon.

It was swell having these guys on my track! LOL! This one actually came together very nicely. The crunchy guitar solo was so tasty that it cut it as a melody. The final takes of both those guitars was gotten by about the third generation. Each time a tasty solo would generate and I'd keep each one, but I believe the third one was simply a keeper.

Needless to say, this was fun!

Hi.

It takes a lot to impress me when I hear new tracks, and smoothe jazz really isn't my thing apart from the likes of Dave Sanborne.
But, this is absolutely stunning.

It probably wouldn't have impressed me as much if I didn't already know it was real tracks, but once again this tool and the way that users are implementing it is superb.

Do you mean to tell me tthat ach time the track starts, a brand new, totally random solo is generated?

Cheers
Darren

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
