Using the Nashville Demo method, that is, a Fender Amp and a microphone on the kitchen table, and the Hollywood
editing standard:
(1) Create the content with reasonable number of takes. Three WAV files of two 03:00 takes will work. Keep notes.
(2) Upload each two-take file to its own timeline on the editor.
Insert three empty audio tracks as working timelines.
These are the A, B, and C tracks.
(3)Depending on whether your program uses explorer or media asset bins, create the folders to store and keep track of the assets.
(4) The assets are the elements of the song; for example, "instrumental verse or chorus."
(5) Go through the timelines splitting off assets,
leaving room on front and back for later. You are "rough cutting." Weed out rejects by delete.
(6) Sort the asset categories, especially the very good ones the the bottom tracks. Try to keep them in order.
Keep the asset categories on different tracks, for ease of finishing the assembly.
(7) Create a rough cut.
(8) Create a final cut.
(9) Render.
