A producer in Nashville has a blog and video series that are fantastic.

He has charted out by hand the Nashville notation and Alphabetic Chord Charts for:

1. The top country hits on the charts now.

2. The "songs of the year" for about the last eight years.

Both links are highly recommended.

Larry also explains what they are doing arrangement wise, explaining things like the breakdown chorus.

I have made a spotify list of these songs and am studying the charts while listening. Kinda blowing my mind. I think it is possible to get close to some of these with a home studio and real tracks, but this all comes from SONG PLANNING, SONG STRUCTURE and MIXING.

It really is not the million dollar studios coming into play here that makes the biggest difference, it is the development of the build, and the vocals.

By studying what Floyd just posted, and studying these links and songs above, anyone can up their game.
