The RealDrums Set 3 features a variety of styles groups, including Fusion (JazzEven8, JazzEven16), Country (CountryShuffle), Jazz Swing (JazzBrushesSticks, JazzBrushes2FeelAtB) and Hip-Hop. A wide variety of tempos in all groups means that no matter what tempo you select in Band-in-a-Box, the drum part is guaranteed to fit the bill! JazzBrushesSticks features brushes playing in the "A" section, and then switches to sticks in the "B" section, which is something you often see at a live Jazz gig. Also included is a special "2 Feel at 'B'" style, which is for slow ballads. The drummer plays slowly for the "A" section, and then switches to double-time for the "B" section. The JazzEven8 and JazzEven16 styles are great to use with the many modern Jazz and Fusion Band-in-a-Box styles.

Please note that RealDrums Sets require Band-in-a-Box 2007 for Windows or later, or PowerTracks Pro Audio 12.

RealDrums Set 1 is included in the Pro version of Band-in-a-Box, and the basic PowerTracks Pro Audio package. RealDrums Sets 1-3 are included with the PowerTracks Pro Audio PowerPAK. RealDrums Sets 1-6 are included with the Band-in-a-Box MegaPAK. All of the RealDrums Sets (1-20) are included with the Band-in-a-Box UltraPAK, and with the PowerTracks Pro Audio PowerPAK Plus or MultiPAK.

RealDrums

What are RealDrums for Band-in-a-Box and PowerTracks?

These are audio drum styles that replace the MIDI Drum track with actual recordings of top studio Jazz/Rock/Country drummers! These are not "samples" of single drum hits; they are full recordings, lasting from 1 to 8 bars, playing along in perfect sync with the other Band-in-a-Box tracks, and PowerTracks recordings. For example, choose a brushes style, and you will now hear lush Jazz brushes, exactly as you'd hear if the drummer was in the room with you. The results are dramatically better than MIDI. They sound like a real drummer, because they are recordings of a real drummer. And adding a real instrument to the mix makes all of the Band-in-a-Box parts sound more authentic. In PowerTracks, add a RealDrums track to an old recording, and it will play in perfect sync to the original MP3 file. As well as improved drum sounds, you are hearing the exact rhythms played by the drummer, including features not seen in MIDI (subtle drum rolls, variations in ride cymbal taps, complex fills, etc.). A "RealDrums" dialog allows you to set whether you want to hear RealDrums with all styles, no styles, or somewhere in between.

JazzEven8

The JazzEven8 RealDrums group features modern 8th-note playing, with hi-hat playing at the 'A' section, alternating with the ride at the 'B' section. At the very highest tempos (280bpm and higher) the drummer plays on the ride throughout the entire song.

JazzEven16

The JazzEven16 RealDrums group features modern 16th-note playing, with hi-hat playing at the 'A' section, alternating with the ride at the 'B' section. At the very highest tempos (280bpm and higher) the drummer plays on the ride throughout the entire song. The group also works equally well on rock and pop tunes!

BossaBrushesSwing

BossaBrushesSwing features a Bossa groove, which is normally even 8th-notes, but with swung 8th notes. It features brushes at the 'A' section, and switches to sticks on the ride for the 'B' section.

JazzBrushes2FeelAtB

This features ballad brushes playing for the 'A' Section, and then continues with brushes for the 'B' section, but switches to a double-time feel. This is a common practice among jazz drummers when playing at very slow tempos.

JazzBrushesSticks

This style features brushes playing at the 'A' section, and then switches to sticks on the ride for the 'B' section.

HipHop

The HipHop RealDrums group features swing 16th-note playing, primarily using the hi-hat throughout. The difference is subtle between the 'A' section and the 'B' section, with a slight increase in energy.

CountryShuffle

The CountryShuffle RealDrums set features a shuffle playing using the hi-hat for the 'A' section, and switches to the ride cymbal for the 'B' section.
