RealTracks Artist Bio: Dave Roe
Bassist Dave Roe grew up in Hawaii, but it was his move to Nashville in the early 80s that really set his career on the right path. Since moving, he has toured and recorded with the likes of Chet Atkins, Vince Gill, Jerry Reed, and Faith Hill. And, in the early 90s he began one of the most important turning points of his career, performing and recording with the great Johnny Cash. Johnny's insistence that Dave play upright bass started a great love affair with the instrument, particularly the technique of slap bass, which features greatly in many RealTracks styles.
