Nothing says “sophistication” like an alto sax intricately weaving its way through a set of complex jazz lines. That's now a mouse click away with RealTracks Set 15: Mainstream Swing – Jazz Soloists. Along with the Alto Sax RealTracks, you receive Trumpet and Trombone, as well as bass soloing and piano soloing, complete with left-hand comping! In addition, this set also comes with bonus material to augment our previously release Tenor Sax soloist set. This set, combined with RealTracks Set 14: Mainstream Swing - Jazz Rhythm Section, has everything you need for a complete Real Jazz Band!
RealTracks Set 15 is also available in the "All That Jazz" RealTracks PAK.
RealTracks Set 1 is included in the Pro version of Band-in-a-Box 2008 and higher for Windows. RealTracks Sets 1-6 are included with the MegaPAK Band-in-a-Box and RealBand for Windows, and RealTracks Sets 1-12 are included with the SuperPAK and UltraPAK Band-in-a-Box and RealBand for Windows.

This demo features all 6 soloists in RealTracks Set 15 taking turns soloing! All three rhythm section instruments, bass, piano and guitar, make up the backing band. The first soloist is the Alto Sax, with the bass playing in-2. Next comes the Trombone. Here the bass continues to play in-2, and the guitar takes over for the piano as the main comping instrument. At the third chorus, the piano resumes as the trumpet takes a solo. The bass and drums go into full-swing mode, with the bass walking instead of playing in-2, and the drums moving from brushes to sticks. At chorus 4, the tenor sax takes over. After that, the bass takes a turn soloing, and the drums quiet down and return to brushes. Halfway through the bass solo, the guitar once again takes over as the comping instrument. For the finale, the piano returns for a chorus of soloing, bringing everyone to a unified close.

Urban Pop 12/8 MultiStyle with Jazz Trumpet RealTracks. Bouncy/swing pop style reminiscent of current Pop divas. Substyle A: As usual, pulling out all the stops for this Chorus. All the main instruments are present. bass line keeps it simple to gel out the other pizz-type, staccato riffs. Substyle B: I would use this as a verse, it's got more subdued instrumentation. The drums are scaled back, and the bass line never ceases to waver. To allow for melody or vocals, the piano keeps the riff to tasteful stabs. Substyle C: You could use this as a lead-in to the chorus, or even a bridge, to change it up a bit. The rhythms have been 'drastically' altered so as to accommodate a key change, if you feel so inclined. Bass line now goes crazy with octave and 5ths, and the piano now keeps the groove. Substyle D: Drums are super scaled back. Instrumentation is also held longer so as to let you do your vocal or instrumental acrobatics. Maybe even a good time to introduce your bandmates! You can also use this section as a lead-in to your chorus, to make the chorus seem even bigger once it comes in!
