RealTracks Set 83... Audio Demos!
HROCKLA Style Demo
This demo features all of the styles from RealTracks Set 83: LA Hard Rock. When played together, these styles evoke the signature crunchy LA Rock sound.
The bass style is <Bass, Electric, HardRockLA Ev 120>, which is a pumping bass style with a fat tone.
The drums use variation 7 from the RockHardLA RealDrums style, which starts off hard with a Bell-Ride pattern for the A section and then gets even harder at B with a crash-ride pattern.
For the guitars, these styles are used at the A section:
<Guitar, Electric, Rhythm HardRockLACrispArp Ev 120>
<Guitar, Electric, Rhythm HardRockLAFuzzyHeld Ev 120>
At the B section (every other 8 bars), the guitars switch to these styles:
<Guitar, Electric, Rhythm HardRockLACrispSync Ev 120>
<Guitar, Electric, Rhythm HardRockLAFuzzySync Ev 120>
UKBIGROK Style Demo
This demo features both the <Guitar, Electric, Rhythm HardRockLACrispSync Ev 120> and <Guitar, Electric, Rhythm HardRockLAFuzzyHeld Ev 120> styles from RealTracks Set 83. The "CrispSync" style uses a crisp distortion tone, and plays on the 1 and &-of-2. The "FuzzyHeld" style uses a grittier distortion tone, and plays chords that last either a whole tone, or the duration of the chord. These two guitars play shots at bars 35 & 36, while the other instruments continue to play.
The other instruments include the "PopHalfNotesPush" Electric Bass style from RealTracks Set 46. This style plays the same rhythm as the "CrispSync" guitar, and the two lock up nicely, especially in the 4-bar intro where it's only those two instruments playing. The drums are the "NashvilleEven8" RealDrums, specifically the variation with an open hi-hat at A and Ride cymbal at B. Finally, the sound is filled out with an Acoustic Guitar from RealTracks Set 8.

HRKFUZS Style Demo
This demo features the <Guitar, Electric, Rhythm hardRockLAFuzzySync Ev 120> style from RealTracks Set 8. As the name implies, the style uses a fuzzy distortion tone, and plays a syncopated groove where the chord is played on the 1 and the and-of-2.
The Drums here are the first variation of the RockHardLA RealDrums style. This variation plays a closed hi-hat with snare for the A section, and makes only a small shift at B: the hi-hat switches to a half-open position. This subtle change is enough to make a distinct overall increase in the energy level noticeable. The bass is the <Bass, Electric, HardRockLA Ev 120> style, also from RealTracks Set 83, which locks up perfectly with the drums.
The other instruments include Pop Organ RealTracks, and basic strumming Acoustic Guitar RealTracks to fill out the sound.
The chord progression is from the Woodstk1.sty demo.
HRKCSP1 Style Demo
This demo features the <Guitar, Electric, Rhythm HardRockLACrispArp Ev 120> style from RealTracks Set 83. This style uses a crisp distortion tone, and plays an arpeggiated pattern.
The Drums here are the 5th variation of the RockHardLA RealDrums style. This variation plays an open hi-hat with snare for the A section, and plays a "sloppy" open hat at B, giving the overall song a bit of a wilder feel. The bass is the <Bass, Electric, HardRockLA Ev 120> style, also from RealTracks Set 83, which locks up perfectly with the drums.
The other instruments include Pop Organ RealTracks, and Fingerpicking Acoustic Guitar RealTracks to fill out the sound.
The chord progression is from the 60_Rok8.sty demo.
HRDROOT Style Demo
This demo features the <RockHardLA^1-ClsdHt,HlfOpHt> RealDrums style at 100bpm. This variation of the RockHardLA drums uses a closed hi-hat pattern for the A section, and at B it continues the pattern, but with the hi-hat open slightly to give the overall energy level of the song a boost. Other variations of this style include substyles with a "sloppy" hi-hat, which is open quite a bit more, a substyle played on the bell of the ride cymbal, and another played with the crash cymbal.
The other instruments in this demo include Metal Bass RealTracks from RT Set 6, the "AltCountryRootsy" Electric Guitar from RT Set 65, 12-String Acoustic Guitar from RT Set 71, and MIDI strings from the ProgRok1 MIDI style.

HRKCSP2 Style Demo
This demo features the <Guitar, Electric, Rhythm HardRockLACrispSync Ev 120> style from RealTracks Set 83. This style uses a crisp distortion tone, and plays a syncopated pattern where the off-beat is often accented.
The other instruments include Metal Bass from RealTracks Set 6, "ElecRockArp" Electric Guitar from RealTracks Set 48, MIDI strings from the PW_BRIAN MIDI style, and NashvilleEv8 RealDrums.

UKCRUNCH Style Demo
This demo features the <RockHardLA^7-BllRide,CrshRde> RealDrums style at 100bpm. This variation of the RockHardLA drums uses the bell of the ride cymbal for the A section, and switches to the crash cymbal at the B section for an added energy boost. Other variations of this style include substyles with closed, open and "sloppy" hi-hat playing.
The other instruments in this demo include Metal Bass RealTracks from RT Set 6, the two "HardRockThrash" electric guitars from RT Set 41, and a syncopated MIDI organ from the UKCRUNCH MIDI style. Shots are employed by all instruments except the drums at bar 24, and since this falls on the bar before a part marker, the drums play a fill while all the other instruments rest.
