Both guitar styles feature open chords with traditional folk strumming patterns. These two guitars used together provide a full, rich sound by covering the full sonic spectrum. NRCKBAL Style Demo
This demo features all of the "NorthernRockBallad" styles from RealTracks Set 89, including Electric Bass, Banjo, Acoustic Guitar & High-Strung Acoustic Guitar.
The High-Strung Guitar & Standard Acoustic Guitar, when used together and panned slightly left and right, offer a nice full sound similar to a 12-string. In fact, the High-Strung Guitar is tuned like the high notes of a 12-string, which is what gives it that distinct effect, but with the two slightly different strumming patterns, the overall effect is a very large sound.
The drums used here are the NashBrushBalDbKEv16 RealDrums style. With this particular variation, the brush on the snare is turned around so that the stick end plays a sidestick pattern for A, and this switches to a full snare sound at B.

This demo features 3 of the "NorthernRockBallad" RealTracks styles: Electric Bass, Banjo, and Acoustic Guitar. To give it a bit of a country flair, the Ballad Pedal Steel from RealTracks Set 2 has been added to the mix. The drums are the 3rd variation of the NashBrushBalladDoubleKick RealDrums style. In this variation, the A & B sections are very similar, but the main difference is that the kick does not play on beat 4 during the A section, and it does play on beat 4 during the B section. This is a subtle change, but still effectively heightens the energy level for the chorus of the song.
