After selecting a new real track patch on the previously unused track, the track will not generate anything. Granted, this is an older piece I have returned to to edit/add sounds. I'm not sure what I might have done in the original to cause this, but I have checked every setting to try and see why I get nothing. Help! I'm sure it's user error, but I have never encountered this before.

Oh. My. Gosh! I am so embarrassed. I found it AFTER posting this. Apparently in a previous iteration of this piece, I muted that track in (Bar) Settings. Since I didn't remember ever having an instrument there, that had not occurred to me.

Problem solved! And, as suspected, BIGTIME user error.
