the last update i performed (on RB) was build 4b from 2011.since then there has been 2 more updates available for RB, 2011.5 and 2012 i have just recently upGRADED from pro 2011 to megapak 2012 and my question is; will the two latest RB upDATES be included in the upGRADE i just made or will i still have to download the updates?same question goes for the other updates on the support site

Once you install/upgrade RealBand on your computer, just select "Help, About" from the main menu and it will tell what is installed. If the latest update for your version of RealBand (2012) is higher than that, then you need to download and install the update. You only need to do this for the most recent update, since each update includes the changes from the previous updates (within the same version). In other words, don't try to apply 2011 updates to 2012 or vice versa.

Same applies to BIAB.

and if i am not mistaken, it would appear that i am up to date with BIAB.....did you say that any updates that preceed build 349 i should ignore?

The builds are sequential. If you look on the update page, you'll see that there is a Build 5 for RealBand 2012; therefore, if you currently have build 4, you'll want to update to build 5. You don't need to download build 2, since the changes from build 2 are included in build 5.

You are up-to-date on Band-In-A-Box 2012 (current build is 349). Be sure to check every so often for new builds.

There is also a RealTracks Update from Dec 15, 2011. If you purchased your BIAB prior to Dec 15th, then you'll need to get this update, as well.

i cant quite recall exactly when i upgraded to 2012....its around the Dec 15 date....is there a way i can check my real tracks status to make sure that is up to date?

If you aren't sure, just download the latest update and apply it. Worst case, is it just gives you something you already have (unless, of course, bandwidth is a concern).

bandwidth? is that another term for cable speeds?
