iv just installed pt to my new computer
have been trying to install a new vst in
i see vst in folder but it say cannot find
the eff and it worked fine on my old com
should thay be in direck x folder

What effect are you trying to install.
Some ProTools FX are proprietary

its auto tune it worked fine in other computer

Are you aware of how to install effects in PT?

Open an FX window, use the dropdown like you are adding an effect.
Scroll to the bottom and select 'Add VST'
A browse window appears.
Locate the dll (or ax) file for the effect.

Once installed, do not move that file or any others associated with the effect, or PT will not be able to find it again.
