With all the emphasis on making Backing Tracks we tend to forget what an excellent teaching/learning tools this application is.

Open the Folder c:\bb\101 Riffs

Load the first riff and set up the screen like this
Set any key, set any tempo, set where on the neck you want to play
Then practice, practice, practice.
increase tempo slowing until you get to where you want
Don't forget to use "Cntrl + R-arrow" to step threw each individual note

Then load the second of the 101 riffs and repeat as above.

Absolutely right, BIAB is the best teacher I have had.

Where are you finding that?
All I see in bb is 101 Riffs - Jazz Piano and 101 Riffs - Trio intros.

I suspect that 101 jazz guitar pharses may have been part of a bonus pak over the years. You would have to contact support/sales to see if it is available.

Yes, it's an add-on. It can be found here http://www.pgmusic.com/addons.riffsandphrases.php?os=win.

Hi Jazzmandan,

How did you paste that picture of musical notation in a reply? I tried doing it with something from Paint - no dice.

What kind of magic did you use?

Aleck,

if you click the QUOTE button as though you were going to reply to his original post with quotes, you will see in the source code that his picture was uploaded to an online storage location, and he put it in the message by entering the URL of the picture's location.

Perhaps you were trying to load a graphic directly from your computer? The picture has to be located somewhere on the web in order to put it into a message.

Dropbox is one of many places that lets you place photos or other graphics for linking purposes.

thanks Pat, you got my back! smile While I do host my own website with which I can upload for linking, I actually am a big dropbox fan and use it much more often.

Heck with all the free services on the web these days I sometimes question why I still maintain my www.jazzmandan.com site, but if I gave it up, someone else would be Jazzmandan - can't have that. smile
