Musocity, what program did you use to capture the animated gif?
My capture from Chrome is an animated gif (using ScreenToGif) which plays ok elsewhere but not in the forum post attachment.
Edit: I see that they didn't work for you either...

Great minds think alike ! They should have an option somewhere in the forum software to allow it to animate.

I seem to recall that animated gif's did animate correctly in the previous forum browser software. I used them several times.
