Folks,

Today was the last Transit of Venus that we'll have the chance to see live. Here in CO, it was too cloudy, but I did get to see the one in 2004 out in the parking lot at work using a cardboard box pinhole camera and welding helmet.

I did write a piano/synth/electric guitar ambient-ish type of thing back then in dedication. Once I learned what it was, I thought it would be a great band name. A song was also o.k. Found out today that Sousa recorded a bombastic thing called Transit of Venus way back in his time.

Here's mine: http://rockstarnot.rekkerd.org/songs/2007Fall/rockstarnot%20-%20transit%20of%20venus.mp3 for those of you that didn't get to see it.

Scott,

That's my kind of thing. Well done as usual. It'd be right at home on Hearts of Space and much of the internet listening I do.
