Hi Paul,

Well first I really like your voice, I wish I could sing that good or even close to that good.
Second I love this song. Good lyrics and melody.
Third sorry but I didn't care for the drum track. I just didn't think it works for this song.
It's probably just me and my own personal preference and others will think the drums sound just fine.
Bottom line is though, great song.

Tim
Good music and Vocals!! Lyrics are a welcome departure from the despair and negativity heard so often. A little heavy on the repetition of the key phrase but overall well done.
Ok just put up the Final Mix down... added the piano part that I forgot to put in the song last night at 3:00 am...lol

Paul,

Personally I think it sounds much better.
I definitely like.
Look forward to hearing more from this album.

Tim
Yea me too... Now I just have to get inpired and write them..lol
Will put down the final vocal in the next couple of days... voice is toast.after last night at 3:00 am writing this thing...... need a couple of days to let it rest up...writing a song always does that to me...
When you do your final vocal, personally I would like it if you to put it a little more up front. You've got a really good voice and would like to hear it up there where there is no competition from the piano. The piano is a nice touch though and sounds good just get the vocal up over it where the message comes through clearly.
The song - is about what I went through during and after the divorce... I call it my ex-wife forgiveness song...lol
I plan too.. I put it more in the background because I didn't like the vocal mix and it hides some of the parts that need to be re-done... some parts are pitchy... and some parts the words don’t have the right rhythm with the music. Going to have to wait for my voice to recover from last night ninja recording session....lol
Nice vocals! Thanks for sharing.
Paul,
I agree with the others. Good song and nice vocals.
So what's EZ Keys piano?
SD
Its the tool I use to write the song and help generate the piano part ..I use it to form the song melody and words. Once I have that done I then back fill the song chords into BB to generate the bass, electric guitar, organ etc...realtracks... Then everything gets ported to Protoolsin wav files for the final mix down and effects. It my new workflow for creating songs and seems to work for me..
Thanks.. I just found a Animator who is going to make a video for it... It will be in the same sytle as this:

Thank you I'm learning... and because of great software like BB it allows me to reach the full pontential that I never could without software like that... I can focus on the creative process..without having to worry I don't have the skills to achieve what I'm trying to reach for in the song idea....Thank you BB
Paul,

From my chair, still learning, but!

You've taken a lot of tools at your disposal
and created a first class professional song.

And Kudos on your vocal's, first class.

Did you go the the show and meet the animation folks?

Thanks for sharing your hard work!
couldn't get into your reverb site Paul, would like to hear what ya got.

Rob
I just heard the acoustic piano version, very nice song, well done.

Rob
Paul,

Great job on this. As expected, your vocals shine. Great piano from EZ Keys. Only thing I would think about, because of the intimacy of at least the first half of the song, you might try mixing your vocals with less noticeable effects (primarily less delay). Totally subjective opinion on my part, and your vocals sound just fine as they are. But especially on the piano/acoustic version, you might try just to see how it works. I think it would make the song just a little more intimate, and still has a powerful build to it, to express you have "risen from the ashes". Again, just my opinion. You have a great talent, my friend.

Great song! Thanks for sharing it!

Steve

Paul, I've followed your progress on your song from its first posting in mid-March until now. You've really incorporated the feedback from the folks here and have produced a first class professional mix with the latest post. Great job! Really liked it.
