This is an instrumental Jazz song I quickly put together after getting frustrated listening to people fight with each other over politics and other issues on Facebook, the news and other places. I wanted to just put up a "happy" tune to help someone get their mind in a better place. I sure hope it works! There is a little bit of singing in here but it's primarily a guitar song. Thanks for the listen! T

That's some wonderful melodic guitar playing, really superb in fact.
Excellent uplifting tune.
Peter
Much more enjoyable than most soporific jazz I've heard lately.
Lovely melodic lead mate.
Hi Torrey,
It is a very good track, nice vocals and the melody played on guitar is infectious. Really enjoyed listening to it.
One little thing: Did you use two different instances of reverb for the guitar and the rest of the instruments? There were a few places where I got the feeling that the guitar was in another room than the other instruments. Particularly got that that feeling when the sax took over from the guitar. It might just be me and my bad ears... please ignore if I'm completely wrong here or if you did it deliberately.
Thanks for sharing - I always enjoy your songs!
Will
Torrey,
excellent positive tune!
Very 70s in a good way:)
Great instrumentals and mix. I like minimalist vocals on this, suits very well.
Thank you for sharing!
Misha.
Hey, there, "Torrey Bliss"...
The late Gore Vidal described "politics" by dividing up the syllables thusly: “poli-”, a Latin word meaning "many", and "-tics", meaning "bloodsucking creatures"
.
Listening to "TURN IT UP" was like switching on my radio and just happening to tune into a real "jam". Your lead guitar is dexterous and sweet, the vocals are fresh and upbeat, and the Real Tracks arrangement makes it all sound like a party is goin' on.
So, you wanted to "put up a happy tune"? Well, then, your mission's been accomplished, sir!
LOREN
Yes, very upbeat and sunny, my mind is now in summer
Great band supporting your enjoyable guitar playing.
Janne
You're right...
Listening to your music is a lot better than
"listening to people fight with each other over politics and other issues".
Thanks!
Sensational playing and great melody.
some George Benson in it.
Sergio
Torrey,
What a great piece of music! I agree with Sergio's George Benson reference - some awesome guitar work here and I love the vocal interplay - sounds like another instrument...
Wonderful!
Bob
Smooth! Man, I have so much respect for this style of playing, and you do it so well.
Nicely done, Torrey, very much enjoyed!
Wow!!
That melodic playing is stunning and the vocal touches are the perfect complement to the guitar.
The band is great...the drums and bass work really well.
The entire production is a lovely diversion from all that you mentioned.
J&B
PS: Great effects on the photo!
Wow! With the focal point of this song being the guitar, you did not disappoint. Fantastic! I with you on the political bickering on FB. I considering writing a song titled "Ignorance Abounds."
like Janne said a ray of sunshine
very nice
"turn it up" I thought it was gonna be a rocker
oh well, some very tasty guitar and beautiful tone
enjoyed the listen,
Kenny
hey torrey great job on this has a Benson feel to it great tone and chops nice medley line thanks for sharing eric
Torrey,
Super.
Really nice guitar. Nice punchy bass. The vocals are a nice added dimension to an instrumental.
A very good mix.
Terrific listen.

Torrey,
Great to hear your melodic guitar playing take centre stage. The changes are somehow very
recognizable for a TB song - and just so smoooth!
Love the bass tone and vocal interludes.
Fine, uplifting music.
Robert
My comments for the next few days will have to be brief as my wife just returned home from the hospital (twice since Christmas) and needs lots of attention. I apologize for the brevity but it's necessary. Thanks for understanding!
Torrey, I listened to this other day but didn't have time to comment, so I'm finally back to leave a few words. I think you know I love this kind of music. This is simply great and so smoothly done. Those soft bg vocals are perfect! What a treat - thanks!
Best to you & yours ...
Alan

Sweet playin' man!
Thanks Kenny! I wondered if that title might of been a little misleading. I'll keep it though! Take care, T
Thanks Eric! I love George Benson's work and I would love to be able to play like him! T
What a tune, Torrey! Definitely a happy vibe to this one. Love the groove, and the guitar work here. Also, the hook you through in delightfully catchy. The harmonies add a lot of character to the already vibrant tune.
Solid all the way through, you should be proud - thanks for sharing
Very soothing with a nice flow. Yes, we all need more of this. Thanks Torrey.
Sweet, sweet, sweet, sweeeeeeeeeeeet!!! A real pleasure to listen to! Wonderful concept, wonderfully executed!! Take care. Greg
What an excellent instrumental this is! I really love the guitar work.
Okay, there may not be many vocals but the vocals that are there are excellent.
Another pro sounding production from you!
Rob
Dear Torrey,
I think everyone can, no must be frustrated from dusk till dawn whenever they watch or read the news, and it's not that easy to cover it, at least for a while, with a song. But if there is anyone who knows how to make songs work, it's, no doubt, you. A very nice tune, very well-played, flawlessly-produced and exactly doing the trick: made me feel good.
Another one for my collection.
Cheers,
Stefan
