I got me a woman, fine as can be,
Drives men crazy but she loves only me,
She gives me money, I'm high on the hog
And all I gotta do is walk her old dog
Now all my jealous friends wanna know
Is she the one?

Her brothers a lawyer, mom's an MD
Dad fixes cars, they take care of me
She's good to my mother, loves all my kids
Even the one that's out on the skids
Now all my crazy relatives are buggin me
Is she the one?

The preacher called me and the elks did too
They wanna know what I'm gonna do
The social reporter from the local rag
She's blowing smoke and that's a serious drag
Now people I don't know are taking it for fact
That she's the one

I love my baby like a good man should
But settling down I don't know if I could
I asked the man above and he said aloud
If you don't want her send her up to my cloud
Now what's a man to do when even God has decreed
That she's the one

Could be a Little Bob Storey tune with a little more aggression.
Very enjoyable.

Nice Stray Cats style rocker, listener is kept in suspense - is she really the one and the answer is given in a good old Greek "Deus ex machina" way. Very good vocalist.

A good rockin' blues number. A solid write. Clever ending.

Good BAND. Well mixed. Nice to hear a harp solo.

Your vocalist really sold it.

Enjoyed the listen.

I heard the Stray Cats right out of the gate as well.

The Fiverr vocalist was really good too. Nice sound.

Loved the story in the lyrics as well.

You have created quite the toe-tapping, head-bobbing tune. I love your lyrics. Great vocal!

Hi TuneMonger, hi Stephane,

can't repeat it often enough: There ain't nothing like a good Blues Rock shuffle, and this one is gonna make me hop around the house (bugger that old age...) for the rest of the day. At least! TERRIFIC !!!!!

Lyrics a hilarious, Stephane, you just sing it the way it's gotta be sung, the backing track (love that guitar!!!) is grand, and a blues harp solo makes everytghing shine even more anyway.

LOVE IT !!!!!!!!

Take care,

Stefan

Wow! Your singer lights into this with great energy and doesn`t let up- impressive.
Love the humour in the lyrics... and, of course, the harp solo.
Really good.

The BEST fiverr vocal we've heard! Nailed. Got a bit of a Kenny Wayne Sheppard sound to the vocal.

Superb band and also one of the best RT harp solos that's been posted.

Cool lyric and a fine mix with the above all equals a great production.

Well done!

wow that was awesome!
You sure can sing fine.
Terrific guitars and a fun lyric.

Now how do you go about getting the fine backing vocals?
did you have to work things out on the fly?
or did you already know exactly what you were looking for?
They sound very very good

Tunemonger,

Cool blues number here . . . reminds me of Stevie Ray Vaughan. Strong vocal—fits the song perfectly. Stellar write . . . and that solo is absolutely killer—so well done. Good stuff!

Kind regards,

Deej

Thanks to all for the kind words. I'm glad folks liked the harp solo. TJ Klay is a world class player but I have always found his RTs hard to use. It took about 25 renders and a fair amount of cutting and pasting to get this one to work. And it's still not like anything he would play in real life. But I'm happy with it and sure wish my own playing had his intonation and timing. Glad everyone enjoyed the lyrics, especially since the only parts I usually supply are melody and words. I will play some harp, a little guitar and maybe even sing (hold your ears) on some future tracks. Especially since fiverr vox are not free by any means. What I would give to be able to sing like Floyd, Greg or Deej....

'Tuenmonger' !!!

Ooo-weee, baby, baby, BABY !!! Now, ain't this song, Is She the One?, some downright, upright, knock-em-down, roll 'em around, truly blue 'blues' !!!

Crowd got so rowdy listening to this that I thought a fight was gonna break out! This is just an excellent blues production, 'Tunemonger', and your vocalist, Mr. Stephane Comeau, howled out your lyrics like he took shots of 100 proof whiskey before he sang each line of verse.

The lyrics are 'right on the money', content-wise and 'rhymistically' (is that a word??) speaking. Pure inspiration. Also, I dig the brevity of it -- bam! It's over, leaving you wishing that it wasn't.

I wish I could give you a 'high five', personally, 'Tunemonger', but you'll just have to be content with these comments laugh.

Ohh, ye-eahhh!

LOREN

P.S. One more thing. I like the fact that the story the lyrics described ended up with the subject of the song contemplating the reality of hitchin' up with 'The One'. It's upbeat, and affirming of the idea of making a committment to the one you love.

TuneMonger, great vocal and bgv on this tune!! Great use of the realtracks with an excellent mix!! The bass really sounds great in this and the obvious showpiece other than the vocals is that harmonica!! Thanks, Thanks, Torrey

This is a terrific listen. It grabbed hold of me at bar 1 and I was hooked. Love that blues shuffle.

You've done a great job putting this together. It all 'fits' so very well.... like a hand in a glove.

As you've probably guessed, I enjoyed it!
