Hi Folks.
Here is my humble offering to a booming User Showcase. Just having fun, nothing serious. Arrangement was made to test out a Reggae guitar UserTrack recorded by K. Lasaine and supervised & assembled  by a forum member pipeline. UserTracks can be used in a very similar manner as RealTracks. If you decide to try it, you can use it anyway you like:

Mandolin parts were played by my talented mother in law, a payback for computer tech support smile
Thank you for listening!

What If

Lyrics:

Fishies got gills to breathe under the water,
kitty sharpens claws to slit your throat and
monkey got a handy tail - to surf the jungle
hippo moves like big old rock, but inside sweet and humble.

What if the dice had fallen on their side,
and the world would still be ruled by mighty dinosaurs?
we would make (be) a crunchy snack at their 24-hour candy store.

Some climb ladders to be close to the sky,
some dig tunnels to hide from the sun.
Some change colors - like chameleons,
some can't keep track of their millions.

What if the dice had fallen on their side,
and aliens would conquer the world?
We would make a peculiar pets,
Entertaining their siblings so they don't get bored...

HI Misha ...

This is just so cool! Those percussions are fantastic! A quirky but great lyric. And your mother-in-law is pretty handy with that mandolin!

A great choice of backing tracks. Everything "pops" and the various tracks are perfectly blended/mixed. That was a real treat, my friend! Glad you posted it for us.

Take care ...

Mando reggae - who'd've thought? Misha would've.
Excellent melange - a masala for a very spicy dish.
Well done, yet again, sir!

Great production. Another well written and well delivered song. You have a very creative twist on things. Outstanding mix. Good job to everyone involved, including BIAB.

Misha,

Really crisp production—excellent mix. Creative write and mash up of styles, and your vocal take on this really makes it. Love that instrumental break, and those great harmonies on the vocal “chants” at the close. Very cool vibe to this. Excellent work!

All my best to you,

Deej

Drums come in strong, and then the piano with a reggae beat. I mistook the mandolin for a cimbalom.

A sonic treat, and inventive lyrics as well! smile

Misha.
I love the way your mind works.
Pretty good mandolin too.

Misha,

Spielberg could make movies out of your lyrics. Amazing.

The sonic landscapes you create using BIAB are JUST as amazing.

Drums sound great. Well...everything does... Vocals are good. Mix is solid.

3 listens, so far.

So happy, frivolous, carefree and fun-filled. Love it, Misha!! Cool to rhyme chameleon with million. Extraordinarily creative lyrics. "a crunchy snack at their 24-hour candy store" indeed. Like Vic said --love e way your mind works, man. Hey, and a special thanks to your special guest on the mandolin.

Great tune, love the drums. As a vegan, your lyrics are something we take seriously. I realize you likely wrote them capriciously, but that's how it is for animals. The short end of the stick. So hats off for having the insight, at least.

Misha,
This one of the best you've done!

Very, very, very, creative lyrics and arrangement.

Before I played the song, I read the lyrics and though....How's he gonna pull this off ? "
You did it exceptionally well and stretching your vocal range was a nice addition.

Tell Tamara, I really enjoyed her contribution.

Loved It!

What delightfully unique and ingenious track.

Great mandolin. And the lyrics, of course, are superb.

Love the whole percussion section.

Hi Misha,

I enjoyed "What If" very much. Not only for the funny, creative lyrics, but also (equal) for the music!
I think I like your mother in law too, if her contribute to computerproblems is playing that mandoline so well!
Here I had no one for my computer problems...

I like all instruments you used, but in a way that loud drum did very well in your song.
I don't know exactly what work you do, but if it makes you think of everything you sang in this song, it must be hard labour.

The brightness of your instruments is fenomenal and jealousmaking too. You must tell me once how you do that.

Well, I think I've used all the superlatives to compliment you on this song. Nothing was wrong, a bit crispy, or too loud. Oh, yes there was; those drums, but that was intentional and well done.

So have a nice Christmas with your family and a happy New Year as well!
Let's hope that omicron or other Corona families leave to Mars soon,
Hans

"What if the dice had fallen on their side,

Hard to pick a fav but we love the above. Ever thought about writing a Sci-Fi book?

You had Janice immediately doing her reggae dance -- wish you could see it smile

Man, this production is very, very high bar. What a BiaB soundstage and THOSE DRUMS.

The mando worked most excellently and us bluegrassers have quite a familiarity with it.

Vocals are as we have come to expect excellent, perfectly processed and laying just right in the mix.

Love it!

Well the dinosaurs are still here, they are just little birds nowadays smile But it would be interesting if there was a mighty one that would eat us for breakfast... I'm not so sure about aliens, but sometimes I feel I'm just a puppet in a silly game wink Great vocals, enjoyed the rhythm, the mandolin works very well, very nice clear mix.
