Lovely, cool arrangement, well selected .
The vocal performances, main & harmony, are WONDERFUL.
English trad tunes are often beautiful and ripe for reviving.

Darn it you guys. You just keep coming up with such interesting and inspiring songs.

Definitely, you are never 'stuck' in any particular format. This is a classic example of the versatility you continue to produce.

Even just based on variety, this is definitely an award winner.

Wow, you guys are so talented you could play in any century. I ditto what David Snyder said. You guys are having such fun and it is contagious in your music. This is soooo good. Excellent instrumentation and the best arrangement I've ever heard. Love those vocals, and the build to this. Outstanding.

Hello Rob and Anne-Marie,

What's there to say more about your performance here after what all allready had said?
You made a beautiful song! I enjoyed the dynamics in it, the way you sing it both. The Middle Ages almost revived here in Haarlem!
Like David and Marty said: WOW!!!

Thanks, David, yes that's indeed what it's all about.

It was nice to build up the arrangement for this one and we had great fun adding the Timpani at the end. A simple sound, but it added quite some power ;-).

My goodness, this is incredible stuff! Such an old tune, yet done in such an inventive way. The sounds you're getting out of Biab are simply fantastic, mixed perfectly with great vocals and neat story with feeling - You guys are amazing.

Just reading the title of the song I knew I was going to like. Robin Hood was one of my favorite characters growing up. Love how you did the song. Such a cool bounce to the song. Awesome vocal and harmonies. Loved the pipe as well. Gave it a very old vibe.. Well done

This is a beautiful song with such a good build with the band and with your vocals. Sublime is the word Janice uses for your harmonies. It's reminiscent of sea shanties.

We love the open airy mix too. Great choice of tracks!

Now we want to watch an old Robin Hood swashbuckler movie! smile

Enjoyed it,

Thanks Misha,

The arrangement took a bit of work and many RT/Cubase tracks!

Our general "rule" is to add at least one real/MIDI track per new verse/chorus.

This is needed particularly in the old traditionals/hymns because there is usually no distinct difference between the verse and chorus. Actually, it's usually just verses, repeated multiple times...

Rob & Anne-Marie,
A gorgeous rendering of the song! I remember your seamless harmonies from past years and they are wonderful here. The arrangement builds well and the closing timpani is perfect.
Very cool folk music.

Very nicely done. My wife and I are watching the Starz series Outlander and this song would fit in well with the time frame and location where the series is set.

Wow, this sounds so authentic. The selection of instruments is perfect: I enjoyed the acoustic guitars and especially the flute and the timpani add interest. Excellent mix and the vocal performance is outstanding, your voices blend beautifully together.

I really enjoyed this.
I love these old British ballads.
The vocals and instrumentation are terrific and sound so authentic - I not sure how two people from the Netherlands do that.
Well done.
Mike
PS: I especially love the "magic" violin solo.

Beautiful vocals, well suited to the genre, matched perfectly with a brilliant arrangement. Ultra professional. Impressive.

All good, but the vocal is a standout. Production sounds professionally done: This could be in a period movie or series. Well done all around!

Rob & Anne-Marie,

Wonderful!
Everything is beautiful.
Especially the vocals are excellent.
The atmosphere of England in the 17th century is really well represented.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.
