Hi my biab's friends,

Two years ago, I composed Turn turn the world with the following realtracks:
String Quarted NA 2335 Rhythmic PopHall Ev 085
Baustin 6 Render RealTrack Guitar 1-
Riff 2 2650 Guitar Electric Background DreamyPopBalladFillsBrent Ev 085

At the time, I found this composition a bit bland and not to post it on this forum. In the last few days I decided to color it with different vst woodwind instruments and choirs and review the mix with ozone9.

Finalized, I can finally offer it to you. If you have the time or the desire, all your comments are welcome. Thanks in advance.

I thought this was great! Love the way you used those bells - very catchy beginning, and once caught, I remained that way throughout the melody. I really liked the way you built the melody sound by sound. The ending was nice too. They started a commercial right after the conclusion of your piece, so they may have cut a bit of the sound off, but it did sound as though it had suddenly stopped ringing at the very end, which was probably something you hadn't intended. Very nice music.

Hi Brad,
I'm glad that you like this instrumental melody. Thank you very much for your encouragement which really makes me happy. Especially since I am aware that my style is a bit atypical on this forum.

You had me with the bells at the beginning...and you can never go wrong with Dreamy Brent...very nice arrangement and melodic movement...the choir or whatever it was ion the background gave it a lovely feel and peaceful vibe...I really enjoyed this!

Great intro with the bells, that is so important to get the listener's attention right away. And you kept the interest nicely, which can be hard to achieve with an instrumental. Terrific work!

Derochette,

Those bells are outstanding—so clear in the mix, giving a lot of depth and atmosphere. Really pretty composition—engaging, and crystal in the production. Outstanding work!

All my best,

Deej

The unexpected opening set the tone (no pun intended) for what turned out to be a very emotive piece. The BIAB tracks provided a most suitable fabric on which to embroider and interweave the various VSTs. Masterful music-making.

If this was bland before, it's certainly not now.

The instrumentation and arrangement kept me engaged through the whole song.

Nice! smile

Derochette,
Beautiful instrumental. Great opening. I like how the composition progresses. Excellent use of synths. One minor thing, and that is probably a matter of taste, I think that drums are a little "thin" compared to the rest of the instruments. This is a random idea, but have you thought about using simpler percussion on this, such as tambourine? In any case, this is a good tune. Thank you for sharing.

Misha.

This is lovely.

Your selection of tracks, the arrangement and the mix are outstanding.

It has a very dreamy cinematic feel -- would make a great film track.

We’re glad you revived this instrumental!

Derochette,
Great work. Love the strings and how you delayed the persussion coming in.
The chorus gives a "Middle Earth" feel.
Great job.

Hi Ghostgum,

Biab's realtracks are very well done. They are a precious tool in the realization of a composition and they adapt well to the sequence of chords that one chooses. Thank you for your nice comment which made me happy.

Beautiful song with a nice theme that builds very well.

When the choir comes in it almost sounds like a movie track of an Ennio Morricone western movie.

From the mix, I would give the drums a bit more bottom end, but the rest is really well balanced.

Wow really nice song. Loved the bells. Guitar was so pretty. Lovely melody. Love this Jani...
Posted By: rayc Re: Turn turn the world - 09/15/22 07:12 AM
Clear melody...you've avoided the trap of delay on the lead that can swamp things with overlap etc.
The drums seem a little loud but I'm not listening through an accurate system.
Nice ending too.
Well done.

Oh, so good! Everyone mentioned the bells and I'd like to chime in on that too. Everything in that mix adds the perfect ingredient for this soaring beauty, Derochette. Such a good composition. Brilliant use of BiaB. I really like where your music takes me.

Beautiful melody, nicely morphing arrangement with very cool start and ending and what an excellent backing band to support all of that! Bells sound great, and I love those choir voices. Has some Eastern vibe, which is also very nice.

Derochette,

Very soothing song.
Tubular bells, woodwinds, choirs, string, etc., all are used very effectively.
I think your orchestrations are always great.
This song is no exception.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.
