I love Brent Mason, etc. but many of the RT leads are so busy they're not usable. Could we have some guitars on decaf, please? Maybe some nice Red Shea or some Steve Goodman?

Thanks.

Regards,

Bob

Yep - +1 from me.
Backing fills rather than Lead lines would be good.

Hey Bob,

Great ideas, most of the lead RealTracks to seem to love their time in the spotlight so I can definitely see a lot of room for more laid back lead lines. I tend to force most of my leads to simple arrangement, then keep them low in the mix and panned mostly to one side so they don't step on the singer's toes.

Feel free to post some examples of what you'd like to hear, leads can be hard for us to balance so I'm sure specifics would be appreciated.

I forget which real track soloist I used for this but more soloist like this would be great. I do remember heavily editing this soloist to make it more melodic.

I'm not talking about just lead (solo) lines, but more like backing lines to augment the vocal.

Here's one. If you listen to the tasteful runs that Red Shea plays behind Gordy - that's what I'm talking about.

EDIT......

While I'm dreaming, I would love to have a nylon guitar ala George here:
