Hello,
Currently, it is not possible to edit a realtrack track (cut, amplify ...) via the audio edit window, which requires copying to a utility track to be able to do so.
It would be nice to allow it. It will then suffice to freeze the track so that it is no longer generated.
Best regards

What's the benefit? If you move the track to a Utility Track you're able to edit it and it's automatically frozen from regenerating. The Legacy track is also free to generate new RealTracks.
Originally in 2021 you could do this with RealTracks but it wasn't saving the modifications so they block any editing now.
If they go over to the Play Direct from Disk this will allow easy editing

+1 for this
the extra step of moving to a utility track shouldn't be needed.
The more fine grained control available to real tracks post-generation the more suited this tool - with the plugin - BIAB becomes - to [future] pro producers and composers.
Since Utility Tracks were new for BIAB 2021, and the stated goal is that they will eventually act like the legacy tracks, I'm hoping BIAB 2022 will make sense of this kind of problem.
