how to change style type without a fill?

I want to go from the A style to the B style without a fill. How do I do that?

Interesting, I don't know if that's possible. I did explore <F5> Bar Settings as an option but could not find a solution. Hopefully someone else will know.

It is possible. Right click on the blue or green substyle marker. UN-check Allow Drum Fill (the first option).
