Here is what the BIAB Help File says:

"Tab

Display and print tablature. When set, the Guitar and Bass parts will display and print "tab" notation. You can force tab for the Melody/Soloist tracks by setting the Melody | Track Type menu item to the fretted instrument for the tab."

- from the main BIAB chord-entry screen, go to the Menu bar, select "Track Type" and pick "Guitar..."
- click on the green Leadsheet Window button (or use Ctrl-W) and ensure that the M button is selected (red box around it)
- the tab may now display, but if it doesn't, click on the "Opt." button
- in the center column, ensure that the "Tab" setting is enabled, then click OK

If that doesn't work, make sure that your melody is actually on the Melody track.
You can check it in the Piano Roll window.
