The Play is a midi controller Kickstarter campaign by a French company, Joue. It is a board mounted, pressure sensitive pad, overlays with embedded RFID identifier tags and apps for PC, Mac and ios. Cost is $289 with delivery expected in the fall of 2020. Place an overlay and the app loads sounds appropriate to the overlay. For example the guitar fretboard overlay automatically tells the app to load guitar sounds. It comes with four overlays and more are promised.
