Yep. The current inexpensive Apple hardware can run circles around anything else comparatively priced but that isn't the issue that the armchair experts on YouTube think it is.

Unless doing some serious heavy lifting, audio is pretty much platform independent. The requirements simply aren't that great and any modern system should be able to handle anything. The key word is modern—a 10 year old system may not be up to the challenge. The iMac Pro/Intel Xeon W processor is only seven years old last month.

I'd stay away from Rysen for music/AV unless I had vetted all of my apps and plug-ins for compatibility. Sad to say that some smaller developers haven't gotten their act together — but all the major players are good to go.
