Yes that is correct. I was just focusing on the Organ track. I had a midi bass track, but for some reason it wasn't playing on my system. I just added a Super Midi Bass track for our next go (see below).

That specific organ RT sounds like a Hammond B3 with draw bars which intentionally add upper harmonies such as the 9th and 13th - it is just the nature of that beast. I have recently been playing a B3 and it is a marvel at what extra sounds are added based on setup of the draw bars.
Yes it's possible that could explain some of the extraneous notes.
Quote
If I am correct, than if you substitute a Piano RT for the Organ you should see everything settle down in your chord notes. I know you want the Organ, but you may just have to settle. Or perhaps you could try new Toontrack B3, where you can edit the beejeebiz out of the instrument and eliminate the draw bars. Just a thought.
For the purpose of this exercise I have substituted a Piano RT for the organ as you suggested. You are correct I do want an organ sound (although it could be another organ RT) but for now I just want to hear the chords played properly, so the test continues. Piano 743 is what I am using now. Unfortunately it is actually worse than the organ! frown Here are the results: C > Cadd9 CMaj7 > OK now FMaj7 > F69 F > FMaj7 Fm > Fm9 Fm7 > Fm9 Abm > Abm9 EbMaj7 > EbMaj7 Eb6 EbMaj9 > EbMaj7 Eb6 Ebm9 > OK now Bbsus > Bb9sus Bb7sus > Bb9sus Ab7b9 > AbAdd9 Ab7#9 > Ab13 Cm6 > Cm9 Only two chords were corrected. Many stayed the same and a few more bad 'translations' occurred. Some real 'standouts' are: Ab7b9 > AbAdd9 Ab7#9 > Ab13 Cm6 > Cm9 Maybe PGMusic can add this as one of their 50 new features next go around? They could call them 'Real Standouts'. smile Here's the file: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/1qdsqjqvyvsbo4sevzijw/Chords-NA-disabled-Piano-743-Super-Midi-Bass.SGU?rlkey=iihoef29276x8k05rahh4h056&dl=0

Some of the midi instrument sound libraries available are indeed, not very good. But some are much better. Some are actually worth spending money on Spitfire has some great orchestral horns. Native Instruments also offers some good horn stuff. But neither of these are free (although Spitfire did have a freebie a couple years ago). In general Midi instrument voice quality is much (MUCH) better than it used to be. For my $.02 It remains a bit of a "you get what you pay for". Also you can't play a trumpet like a guitar. Or vice versa. For midi instruments to sound compelling, you have to play as if you understand the instrument voice you are using. I'm sure there are bargains. I just don't know much about them. As I age I'm more willing to pony up the $$ and buy the quality stuff.

Well thank you Al for starting this! As always it’s a wonderful story. We could spend a long time trying to nail our fav lines but, man, this one is standout. “now she has to choose between the thrill of the danger or one more poor excuse” Another vignette like something out of “Travels with Charley.” Excellent vocals, guitars, and steel all put together in a great mix. Sounds like a fine live band in a small venue. And we love the cover art! Enjoyed it, J&B

Great original and quirky piece, to the point I'd say it was quirkier than a quirky thing on a very quirky day. Oddly - or quirkily - right after it began I visualising a quirky squirrel hopping from branch to branch and tree to tree in its quest find the quambrosia and quectar of the squirrel gods. To put it another way it was a really enjoyable and a fun listen. It would work brilliantly as a cartoon soundtrack.

This is what we mean when we say take a year off from adding 50+ new features and "fix BIAB as is". In other words, the so-called 50+ new features are all workflow/bug related.

Hi J&B, Thank you so much. Glad you enjoy my efforts. That's the best compliment a creator can get - praise from his/her contemporaries. I appreciate it a lot. Wait until you hear the next one - 21 tracks! It's something I wrote - along with four others - for a friend who's an aspiring screenwriter. He has appointments with some production companies in late March and mid April. He wanted bg music for each pitch. They're different from the usual fare in some cases. It's spec music for his needs, not necessarily the way I would have written them. But he's the one writing the checks! Take care. And thanks again. Alan PS: The only thing I've mastered is saying "Yes, Ma'am" and "Would you like that today or yesterday?" to Di. I'm real good at that!
