And now... to get this thread back on topic... It saddens me to say that the newer plugin hasn't cleared up my problem of not hearing my BIAB midi tracks in Reaper or Cakewalk. The sounds are there but just can't be heard. There's just one audio track in my song (drums) and that can be heard. Obviously I'm still not getting some setting right. I'll post another screen shot in a bit. /Bobby

Hi Mario... No fear, there's not gonna be any wars starting. I'm usually a pretty easy going old fella If you noticed, I took down the rant that I posted because at the time I was understanding that I was going to need to pay $179USD in order to get the newer plugin. Thankfully Jim pointed out that I could just upgrade the program, plugin included, for $49USD - $56CAD. So, my bad for jumping the gun too quickly. /Bobby

Hi Marcia, Welcome to the forums It sounds like the song you created was made up of Realdrums and Realtracks. These are audio tracks and not MIDI tracks. If you want to save an audio production, "File | Save Special" will open a menu that lets you save the song as wav, wma, mp3, etc. BIAB has both MIDI capabilities and Audio capabilities. Did you specifically want MIDI files? Regards, Noel P.S. Just in case you haven't stumbled across the below PG Music webpage that's full helpfu

I just installed Band-in-a-Box yesterday, so I still don't know what I'm doing. I loaded a simple song and tried to save it as a midi file. I only got the melody. What am I doing wrong?

Please consider. Option or by default. I wish that there would be a way to match project volume to all the previews. Because of different volume levels, which are much (!) higher in previews (of styles and individual track previews) than main project, every time I have to reach to interface volume knob... which is faster than locating volume adjuster on different preview screens. Maybe the menu is already there hidden somewhere to match preview volumes to project's volume? Just not good for ear

Sounds good to me man! Hey, I could hear many different versions of this, and I think you should experiment with many styles just for fun to see what happens. Ya never know. It might be cool to hear a slightly slower piano up front version just for grins.

Hi Yes, this is not working as it should. Unchecked overdub means the previous recording attempt will not be used and hence it should be muted. Currently it's played. Checked overdub then the previous recording is to be heard and merged with latest recording if the take is ok. cheers Thomas (on the latest win10/64)

E chord in the key of C is second nature to most guitarists. We all learn Freight Train as one of our first finger picking party pieces and the C-E-F chord sequence is unmistakable.

So much appreciated!!! /Bobby I'm not trying to start a war but other companies do the same thing. When Kontakt upgrades you must buy it to get the VST. Kontakt's free updates include VST's updates, just like PGM does with their free up

I understand what your saying Bobby. However, in PG Music's defense, the plugin relies on Band-in-a-Box running as a background task to perform many of it's functions. RealBand also relies on Band-in-a-Box running as a background task to perform it's functions related to Band-in-a-Box features. That's why Band-in-a-Box, RealBand and the plugin are all released at the same time.

Mario, the Trumpet, along with several mutes, is everything it is claimed to be! Right out of the box. No messing with EQ or articulations or mics needed. The rest of the horns have not yet inspired me, but they may. I just bought it this morning. This thing never has gone on sale, but this trumpet at $79 plus tax is worth it.
