Floy, definitely...FUN!! Wonderful song, and DYNAMITE vocals. That lead guitar smokes, too. Could be a deep track from the Boss for sure. Nice one!

Happy Easter, Donnie! This sounds really nice. Thought your licks sounded fine and served the song really well. The mix sounds super as well. Enjoyed!

Alan, nicely done! That's a cool tribute. Have always been a big fan of the pedal steel, too. This sounds really relaxed, and I like the pedal steel in the long composition format, which I don't hear much. THANKS as well for the fascinating trivia on Tom and Ronnie's connection. Huh. It IS a small world! (FWIW, there's a volume swell at 1:37 that jumps out a bit. Didn't detract from my enjoyment whatsoever.) Really appreciate the thoughtful composition!

I suggest doing this using the MultiStyle function so setting Part Markers to make Style changes. This method may be more suitable to the BIAB algorithm. Start with a 4/4 and change to 3/4 with Part Markers. Could you explain the steps to do this please, Charlie? Load a 4/4 song for two bars to trim from the rendered audio Use Bar Settings to change to a 3/4 Style Use Bar Settings to change back to a 4/4 Style if necessary

This is absolutely my favorite performance of 'Spain', by Yohan Kim (he was about 15 or 16 years old when he performed this). Amazing talent:

I don't think there is a close match in BIAB. A search suggested _TRIPEAR, _RALLY & _RAMBHA. I doubt if they are very close at all. Additionally, Spain needs those single side-stick beats playing behind the left and right hand unisons. Thanks AT, that's a shame really. After all these years, nothing even remotely close. The groove (style) they get is really top notch. It's actually something I think that is achievable in BIAB if the programmers put their minds to it. As I mentioned, the unisons are not really that important. It's just the main groove that I am after.

Update: It seems to give a sort of working solution for my song requirements when just selecting _RYGRAS for the song and then on bar one, change # of beats to 3. On bar 9 then change # of beats back to 4. ... You're probably stuck with a 4/4 count-in using that method if you are running the 2020 version.

I recently transferred BIAB and RealBand from my old computer to a new one. Now when I attempt to time stretch/pitch shift any track in RealBand, the DAW freezes. The only escape is through task manager. Can anyone help? I am using BIAB ver 2022 (927) / RealBand ver 2022 (2) (64-bit).

I hope someone here can help me out. Out of the hundreds/thousands of styles available, surely there must be a style that fits Corea's Spain perfectly? I mean a style for the main groove of the song.

Man, I really like this Floyd. It has a Springsteen type feel in the DNA of the chord progression. I like how in the first phrase of V1 you are in the normal IV chord (it seems), but in the second phrase you hit kind of a 4 sus, (Bbsus, or Bb/F, etc). Very subtle, but it gives it that total Springsteen feel. Oh yeah. Everything else is great too, as usual, vocals, phrasing, mix, and on and on and on. Niiiiiiiiice. A winner! Happy Easter.

Gordon, on my iPhone and iPad, the brightness of the displays are not what causes a shutdown (although that will drain the battery more quickly). It’s the ambient temperature. And of course anything on the dash of a car can easily overheat and be unusable for many minutes even when cooled.

Commercialization is a lot more at Christmas? I just directed music at an Easter service, and most Christians at least would be able to hum the melody of several songs. These are hymns, but then most of the popular Christmas carols are also hymns; they just got picked up more by popular music.

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option
Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!
Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!
For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
