Such a pristine sound! Vocal is smooth and expressive. Love the vocal slides. Peter's guitar work hits the mark. "I think I could make a profession out of revenge" Fantastic line!

Re: HOW TO CREATE A MASTER BUSS IN REAL BAND??? rharv 03/07/24 11:51 PM Forum: RealBand Jump to new postsJump to new posts
I do not know where the instructions are, too tired to search the manual. Had a couple loooong days. But in my image below you can use the Port setting in the right-click menu to route tracks to a specific Master Out subgroup. On my system the labeling now appears wonky (in the image below) .. but the long/short of it is use the Port option to assign an output. It appears you can have about 16 Ports, but I only have a couple enabled most of the time. /These ports/paths must be enabled in Prefs-Audio-Drivers area before they'll show up in the Track Port list, which makes sense .. but again I feel like I had to figure a lot of this stuff out due to sparse documentation. //it's all my fault, I know

I forgot, you forgot others will forget...there needs to be a better way, we should not now have to Rebuild in the Styles Tab each time we add a new loop, it takes too long now doing a Rebuild !!!!

Yes, I was stupid. I forgot to rebuild. I will now click Rebuild. These loops appear in multipicker. Thank you for reminding me.

Thank you for your reply. Now you know that you can use LOOP without previewing it. If there is time, I hope it can be repaired. Because the preview is still important. Finally, thank you for your attention to this BUG.

DC Ron said it so well. "So, I'm picturing myself on a lounge on a white sand beach. The sky is deep blue, the water aquamarine. The sun is bright and warm, but I'm under an umbrella, and a soft breeze is blowing. I have an icy beverage in hand. There might be a slice of fruit in it." This is a great all BiaB production! The track choice is excellent as is the mix. Cool tag. Enjoyed it! J&B

Thank you Wao for your encouraging words. Much appreciated. I certainly won't spend a lot of time and energy on advertising, but not advertising at all seems to me to be the wrong way to be heard at least a little. But like you said, there are millions (the latest figures from 2023 talk about 120000 new songs per day on Spotify) to compete with, and even if there is a LOT of AI-generated crap out there these days, there are still too many to get heard.

Yep. Perhaps a bit too generic, but then, people are always saying that songs should be universal, and what could be more universal than a song that applies to everything? wink
Quote
For a change, I tried a wild mix of end rhymes and internal rhymes I think it kinda works. At least I'd like to think so.
Yep, the work well enough. The inner rhymes were fun. You've got some sort of distortion on the vocal that didn't work for me. Not a big deal. The title doesn't seem to match the song. The POV of the title addresses people, telling them they need to fight for their rights, while the POV of the song is the narrator addressing the towe-dwelling bloodsucking vampire freaks. Not a big deal at all. I like the contrast between the verse and chorus - it's always good to have a song make the sound different. Anyway, good job.
Hi David, thanks for listening and your detailed feedback. Much appreciated as always [Linked Image] The distortion you mentioned is intentional. I figured an angry girl shouting out loudly into a mic wouldn't care that the meters are deep red, giving it more authenticity. I have to admit that it's not so pleasing to the ear. You have a good point with the POV, it wasn't an easy decision between "...for my rights", "...for our rights" and "...for your rights". The first one sounds selfish and the last one is not exactly what the song is about. But the second option, in my opinion, has such a bad flow (as a title) that I didn't like it at all.

[via Google Translate]

Suno - AI Music Generator dcuny 03/07/24 07:42 PM Forum: Off-Topic Jump to new postsJump to new posts
I recently found out about Suno, a new web-based AI music generating program: https://www.suno.ai/ It's got all the caveats associated with AI:
Quote
Are the songs that I generate using Suno subject to copyright protection? The availability and scope of copyright protection for content generated (in whole or in part) using artificial intelligence is a complex and dynamic area of law, which is rapidly evolving and varies among countries. We encourage you to consult a qualified attorney to advise you about the latest development and the degree of copyright protection available for the output you generate using Suno.
Assuming the example songs posted on the site are representative, there are a number things that really impress me about Suno. I'm not sure I could distinguish a song generated by Suno from a commercial song. While there are some artifacts with some of the vocals, the audio quality otherwise seems to be very good. Suno can take user's lyrics and generate a full arrangement from it, in a wide variety of styles. Genre appropriate arrangement, catchy melodic lines, full harmonies - everything. Chat GPT lyrics still sound like Chat GTP lyrics, though. wink The singers are very good - expressive, and genre appropriate. Rap music gets a rapper; country music gets a country singer. And it supports multiple languages. Want German, French or Korean? It can do it. Instrumental parts? It's got that as well. Just write "[instrumental]", and it'll render something appropriate. Now, I've still got the same reservations about using AI to generate music and lyrics. And I've got to wonder where it got all the training data from. That's somebody's voice it learned, and some writer's melody that it's copying, and some instrumentalist that's been sampled. Unlike BiaB, I'm sure that none of these people have been compensated for using their recordings as source material for the songs. So ethically and legally, I don't see how anything created by this could be protected by copyright. (The lyrics still retain copyright, but that's a different matter). But again - except for the occasional glitches in the vocals, I'm not sure I could distinguish what Suno generates from non-AI music.
