Paul, I don't think the chorus sounds screechy at all. Your vocal is clear and heartfelt and sounds great. Instrumentation is a beautiful fit for your melody. My only critique is that the drums don't fit the loveliness of the song. I hope you will be able to get things on the mend. Thank you, I have reuploaded about 11x since posting. Each time polishing. What I have now I'm much happier with. I've also added a tiny amount of reverb to the drums which has softened them a little. Before they were just dry from BIAB. I just need to learn how to edit the echo so its not heard on every line.

Thanks for the update on your experience with it. Yes it does look cool. I'd be interested to know how the variable Impedance works in real life. Can it handle both a LCD and something like an SM-57 or SM-58 OK? An SM mic (or similar) would benefit from much different settings. It looks like each channel can have it's own impedance, so that would be nice. I've only played with it a little so far but have tried two mics - Beyerdynamic M88TG and Rode K2. Both have a 200 impedance. I've cranked it up higher on both and lowered down to 100. I'm not sure how I would explain the difference? Its subtle. To me my mics sound warmer around 100. Pushing it higher (600+) and there seems to be more detail and the volume seems to increase slightly. I think I prefer the warmer effect if that's what you call it?

Hey Peter, this is awesome, and Janice of course is top of her game. Excellent mix and mastering from Bud. The lead guitar and arrangement is blistering. It is kind of like what would happen if you took the Allman Brothers, Credence Clearwater, the Band, and Steve Vai and smushed them all together, with Janis Joplin (though less raspy) on vocals. Great!!

I completed my song today and wanted to master it in my cakewalk DAW with the BIAB VST plugin, however I get no output from the bass track, just silence. It all works fine in the BIAB application. I have been through every step over and over but nothing. Even tried generating just the bass track. This is the completed song in case it helps. https://file.io/hAsaxCRrCMHF

.... it didn't know how to play bridge (yet)! Interestingly, in this exercise, it did say "Unknown" when it did not know an answer (for example on my own original songs). It does seems to have done a fairly good job and I can sometimes rely on people to give me corrections where it is wrong. Bridge: Aye ... yet. "Unknown" is probably good, especially as some songs have diverse histories. Regarding errors and corrections", realistically that would undoubtedly have happened anyway if you'd researched the yourself. You can be pretty sure that at least some sources would have wrong dates. Off topic-ish. ... Recently I was asked to research a particular artists work, identify it, locate it, find current owner if acceptable and so on. Your search has made me wonder if an A.I. engine might be able to help with that. That said, I'm not sure I want to get dragged in to that kind of activity anyway.

Hoi Anne-Marie en Rob, Wat een geweldig lied! En hoe jullie kwanen tot dit onderwerp is mij nog steeds een raadsel. This means: What a great song! And how you came to this subject is still a mystery to me. I enjoyed it all about that talking egg. But you know? Baking eggs will never be the same for me... And I'm already having a hard time. I have two vegetarian sons... But what a nice song, and what nice vocals! I really enjoyed this cheerful/sad song. Hans

Peter and the J&B gang, Oh, what a cheerful song you made. Janice's voice is great, but so is Peter's guitar playing!!! It gave me a smile on my face that's still there! If there is really anything to complain about, it is the lyrics on SC that cannot keep up with the cheerful Janice. Finally no more annoying man in the story for her!!! So, you all did a very good job on this song! Hans

Hi Torrey, Jannice and Bud, Scott, Peter, Scott S and Dave Thank you all for your very encouraging words. These words make me want to make more songs ;-) Hans I love that slow bluesy walking down pattern! It always gets me interested! Your drum sounds here are great as are the use of special effects! This has unexpected elements such as the fiddle solo! It all sounds great to me! The best part is your vocals....raw emotion is coming through especially in that bridge section! Very good work Hans! TB Torrey, I'glad you mentioned that violin as unexpected instrument. I love strings, but you can't always use them. Some here said they expected a roaring guitar. But the violin was very applicable here and very beautiful. Also a little different. I like that and apparently you do too! And thanks of what you say about the vocals. like that, but I still think yours beat mine. Oh John, you’ve never sounded better. 😉 Really though, Hans, it's the timbre of your voice and your phrasing that are so wonderfully reminiscent of Lennon. You put together some great session guys and the fiddle adds to the heartbreak vibe. The lyric along the build in the arrangement are excellent and the video is cool with the live audience scenes interspersed. We’re fans! J&B Bud, and Janice, your post sounds so nice. I almost can't believe all those compliments, so take it easy... I already told some here John is back and it is me. and I have proof from America!!! But what I think is the most nice part of your post? Now we are both fans from eachother :-)) Listened to this a few times Hans. Just love this song. Loved that overdriven piano. Very cool tone. Excellent vocal and lyric. Really well done... Scott, this is so nice from you. Your compliments were on YT and here and now you start doing it all over again. Thanks a lot! Hans I listened and watched the latest version. A lot of work has gone into the video and it's very well done. I enjoyed the song and the concept. Very nicely done. Peter Peter, I'm glad you listened to the newest version on YT. I am still not so familiair with YT, it's the 3rd more real video I made, but I always get confused of what they are asking and so on. I didn't know you can't replace a video. I think that has to change. You can always make a mistake on something, but before you know it you have 6 videos of the same thing... But thanks you liked the song and that new video. The work was about half a day, because I learned how to expose the lyrics and to put movies in movies. I like doing that. Mostly, creating a good story is a challenge. I watched and listened to the updated video. The stand outs form this song are as follows: Your vocal. This is your strongest vocal performance I've heard so far. Excellent in all aspects. That electric piano gives the whole song a cool and unique sound. The mix is clear and crisp. Darn good song! Scott, it's so nice how you say the things you want to say! 'Bam, bam, bam' there it is. I love that. And especially the order of those sayings Thanks a lot! Good song, Hans! You are a top notch songwriter in my book. Love the feel and the vocal. Enjoyed! Dave, I always thought FJ was that. So thanks for this nice compliment! Yesterday I heard your new song. I think there's a competition going on between us in terms of songwriting! But thanks a lot, man. Maybe we can do a duett. Or combined with Chris? And Marty?? Nice day to you all, Hans

Hey Brain, Even though this really isn't my genre, I can appreciate the effort that went into this. And it was an enjoyable listen. I don't get pop music anywhere else, only here. At first I thought, "Wait, these lyrics sound like a female perspective but I hear a male voice singing (probably his voice)." When the song ended, I scanned some of the earlier reviews and the proverbial light bulb lit, a synth voice is at play. Then the world made sense again, she underwent a sex change Good job.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!
If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
