Any other KPOP fans out there? makingmelody 8 hours ago Forum: Off-Topic Jump to new postsJump to new posts
Hey everyone, I've been really into KPOP groups like BTS, Blackpink, and Twice lately. The music is just so catchy and high energy. Have any of you gotten into KPOP recently? I'm always looking for new groups to check out. What are some other popular KPOP artists I should listen to? It's also so fascinating to learn more about the KPOP industry and culture. The idols train for so long and have such intense schedules. And the fans are so dedicated too! Some of the fan chants are super impressive. I'm curious if there are any other KPOP lovers on the forums. It would be great to chat about our favorite groups and songs. Maybe we can even put together a KPOP playlist to share. Let me know if you have any recommendations for me to check out!

Netflix documentary on the man who changed how movie music is done. Interesting look into the life of Hans. Lion King, pirates of the Caribbean, rain man, Batman series, nature documentaries, the thin red line, dune and more. He describes how some of his themes are based on only one or two notes and how he wrote all the themes to one of those movies in one night of work.

a little rt wish ... .re gear used. It's obvious that a lot of the pg rt's are created by highly skilled session pros. and from session pro's ive met in studios in the past i realise some might not want to divulge their 'tricks'...totally understandeable… but for example if possibly some of the pg artists might divulge the gear they used in their bios…that would be very nice. particularly for users new to creating songs. ie a learning tool ?...as in learning from the masters ? maybe it's a big ask…just an idea. e.g. I created the stallion song in my sig cos…. I discovered one of mike durham's rock tone rt's one day by accident ... .ie a classic rock tone. basically i dont like rock tones that are too fizzy or too clean. mikes rt i found got me soooo excited i created the stallion song just to showcase his classic tone and guitar talent. happiness. om

harmonies program changes are not exporting to midi files (save especial) Jorge 04/13/24 12:39 AM Forum: Band-in-a-Box for Macintosh Jump to new postsJump to new posts
I modified my BIAB MGU files to include harmonies. When I save it to MID file, (using save special option) it writes the harmonies in different tracks (Channels) but the MIDI the patch number is not included: all harmony tracks has the same patch number. no midi program changes are included when a change of harmony occurs. If I change the harmony in a specific bar the changes in patch number does not appear. I remember this was not the case with my older version of Windows BIAB. I have the export patch number option ON. I was expecting this program changesi all, melody and harmony channels. Am I missing something? Regards

Blues Rhumba to Shuffle Blues1952 04/10/24 11:39 AM Forum: Styles and RealTracks Wishlist Jump to new postsJump to new posts
I would love to have a real track that has Blues Rhumba in the A section. and then switches to a shuffle in the B section. Almost every top blues artist has at least one such song. I know it can be done in the bar settings but it never works that well. There are a couple of midi styles that have similar rhythm changes but they don’t work well as blues songs. Here are a few examples (classic blues songs) B B King Woke Up This Morning
Otis Rush All Your Lovin’ I Miss Lovin’
Buddy Guy or Ray Charles Mary Ann

The Band-in-a-Box® Flash Drive Backup Option

Today (April 5) is National Flash Drive Day!

Did you know... not only can you download your Band-in-a-Box® Pro, MegaPAK, or PlusPAK purchase - you can also choose to add a flash drive backup copy with the installation files for only $15? It even comes with a Band-in-a-Box® keychain!

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.

Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
