I have imported a mono audio track to RB, selected it and opened the Pitch to MIDI dialog. In the dialog box I clicked [Process].
I receive an error that reads "There are no MIDI events in this selection." The audio has not been converted.
What is going on here?

I never knew about this feature.
Just played with a mono bass track and found that depending on where the various slider values are set, it may or may not produce results. Some values I set to, I get your error message. Playing with the sliders I was able to convert the bass audio track to a midi track. Didn't translate too well but I did not get the error.

Is the audio 16 bit, 44.1 KHz? From memory, this is what's needed for this converter. Also, did you try saving the work as a Realband file before you tried the conversion?

Yes Mario the audio is 16bit 44.1 and it is in a RB .seq file.

Worked for me today. Weird.
I consolidated the track first though .. otherwise I got the error for every 'chunk'; it kept repeating the error. Six times for an audio track with six events on it.
Consolidated the track and it worked fine.

Highlite the whole track (Right-click then 'Track - Select whole')
Then use Track menu - consolidate audio region.
It takes all the 'chunks' of audio (left from doing edits and recording and cutting/pasting) and makes all those chunks one continuous chunk of audio.

Chunk is a technical musicological word much like Tad of compression, or dash of reverb.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
