A long time coming, but the backing tracks are in the can. Next week I start laying down the vocals. I settled on a hybrid workflow which includes BIAB-2019-64B, the BIAB VSTi and Reaper. Dare I say I am having fun?
BBChords drives Strummed Acoustic 2 perfectly. Just remember to raise the midi by two octaves. Also, easy to insert triggers to adjust strumming patterns where needed.
In this example I used EZKeys only to pre-view BBChords to be sure the chords were correct. BIAB can be a little finicky with its output of the chord track. It can do it perfectly but there are 3 or 4 things which can and often do go wrong. I like to see exactly the chord names for the BBChords before I put them in REaper as midi data.
The BIAB VSTi has some serious flaws - Primarily the .mgu file loaded into the VST is not the same as what is developed and saved in BIAB. But with trial and error I have learned how to avoid the pitfalls and with that it can be a very efficient way of loading BIAB tracks into Reaper and regeneration as needed. On top of that I really enjoy having the Chord chart always in front of me in Reaper. Help with sheet reading the chords.
Sound like your getting things done. That is why if I am going to use the tracks in my DAW I don't start in BB or if I do I keep it simple. I usually just start with a chord pattern in the plugin. I have noticed the .mgu issues as well. .sgu seems to work better. When I use Studio One I always toss one of the BiaB plugin tracks into the chord track for precisely what you mentions so that the chords are rolling across the top of the page as it plays it gives a great reference for adding tracks on my guitars.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
