Hello,

Im making a video of my chord sheet song. However,
the video is noticeable out of sync with the audio.

Is there a solution for this?

Also after making 2-3 videos. Biab wont make anymore
videos. It just wont respond to the save as > video button command.

Any fixes?

thanks

No replies?

Am I the only one that uses this feature?

Can I install 2017 biab next to my 2018. I didn't
have this problem with 2017.

thanks

Hi KGU,

Which Audio Driver Type are you using? Also, are you updated to build 520?

If you close and reopen Band-in-a-Box, is it then able to make videos again?

Thanks

Hi,

yes I'm updated.

Ive tried different audio drivers, now [and also video
codecs] per your suggestion.

Nothing helps. Video still way out of sync with audio.

Is there an exact tutorial how to best do this?

thanks

Hi KGU,

I don't think a tutorial would help, as there's no setting that would throw the video and audio off as you've described. I'm sure we'll figure it out though.

Which program are you playing these videos in after creating them? Is the sync issue still there if you play them in VLC Player?

Regarding your inability to create videos after making 2-3 of them, does restarting Band-in-a-Box solve that problem?

Thanks
Kent

I've tried 4 players now. All show the same problem.

Yes, if It hangs on making videos, a re-start, fixes the making of videos. But it doesnt fix the videos.

I had a few problems creating videos awhile back.
A couple of things got me back on track.
The first to try is, after the video is created, be sure to close BIAB before trying to play the video.
If that doesn't cure things,
the second thing to try is, after hitting the "Save as video ..." use Ctrl+T to put BIAB into "condensed" display,
THEN hit the OK- Render Video button.

If all that doesn't help, try reading through this thread to see if there's anything else you can try.

I was equally frustrated at first, but once you get it working, it's a pleasure to use.
Good luck!

My solution would be something I've used many times prior to even getting BIAB. Download the free version of Windows Movie Maker 10. You can easily edit where the video and audio portions meet.

You can also add other video information to your music if you want...

Just a suggestion.

Unfortunately, none of the solutions above worked for me and I didn't really want to edit each video to synchronize the sound track. So, after a lot of trial and error, here is the solution I came up with.

After selecting "Save As" > "Save As Video", I changed the default 10 frames per second to 30 and rendered the video. When I opened it in VLC, the audio was still lagging far behind the video.

Next, I used "Handbrake" (free) to convert the .avi file to mp4. Handbrake miraculously corrected the out-of-sync problem without me having to tinker with any special settings!!! Hope this helps someone else...

Thanks for showing how you resolved your issue. Yes, Handbrake is a very powerful and worthwhile video management tool.

Band-in-a-Box® 2024 Review: 4.75 out of 5 Stars!

If you're looking for a in-depth review of the newest Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows version, you'll definitely find it with Sound-Guy's latest review, Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows Review: Incredible new capabilities to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."

"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."

"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
