I just finished downloading and installing BIAB 2019 ... everything went smoothly and it appears that all the new real tracks are installed and should be working ... the very first song I tried, I just picked out a waltz that I had in my own song folder, loaded it up, and started playing with the styles ... the first few that I tried (-BEDTIME, __SEDATE and _SOLEMN) all use a couple of Celtic Waltz guitar real tracks, specifically 3287 and 3288 ... these don't play when I re-generate and play when I have any of these styles style loaded ... the remaining instruments in the style play fine ...
I can load another style with different guitar tracks and that works fine also ... I checked that both of these real tracks are properly installed and in the right folder along with all the other .wma files.
I rebuilt the styles etc. I don't have them muted or anything that simple and loading another style using different guitar tracks works fine at least as far as I can tell. There well may be other real tracks that don't work either but I haven't found any but I haven't explored much beyond what I just said.
Does anybody else have a problem with these two real tracks or can anybody suggest what I might be doing wrong?
The two Realtracks that you mention come with the Bonus49Pak. This is an add-on (US$49) and is not included with the BIAB purchase.
Did you get this add-on? If so, the RTs in question should show up once it's installed.
The download files for all that you bought are accessed by logging-in into your Sales account and then clicking on "My Products". If you paid for the Bonus49Pak, you'll be able to download it via "My Products" and install it.
If it is not showing up in My Products, I suggest using Live Help/Chat to talk to Sales staff. (Live Help is found on the top right of this webpage.)
Thanks for the response ... I had forgotten where they came from ... I did order the bonus PAK and the styles are installed ... they show up as available and I can load them into the mixer but they don't work ... it seems to be just the two I mentioned.
What I'd do in this situation is to log-in into my Sales account, go to "My Products" and re-download the Bonus49Pak (as mentioned above).
I'd then manually install that exe file.
It sounds like even though you have the style present, you do not have the Realtracks in the style present.
Have a look in Realtrack (RT) picker to see if those two Realtracks are present. The easiest way to do this is to open RT picker, click on the heading for "Set" so that the RTs are sorted by set and then scroll to Set 800. If the column is not wide enough to show the numerals fully, left-click on the left boundary that separates 'Set' and 'Stereo' and drag it to the right.
The image below shows how to enter Realtrack picker. (If your BIAB view is different than that shown on the image, use CTRL+T to toggle between views.)

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.
Backup copies are offered during the checkout process on our website.
Already purchased your e-delivery version, and now you wish you had a backup copy? It's not too late! If your purchase was for the current version of Band-in-a-Box®, you can still reach out to our team directly to place your backup copy order!
Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows® Today!
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
