Been around BIAB for a while. I am using 2019, bit rusty.
For some reason I cant do probably THE most basic thing in BIAB. Change a style.
I go to the style picker, select a style so that it is highlighted, press OK then.... nothing. Style Picker exits but the style of the song does not change.
I can't seem to find a way?
Should be obvious, but not to me. speedy help would be appreciated.

As above. Also, when you select the style, do you get a prompt to do a Rebuild (Fast or Slow)? Nothing will happen unless you do that. This is something normal that you must do upon first use after an update.
BIAB 2024 Win Audiophile. Software: Studio One 6.5 Pro, Swam horns, Acoustica-7, Notion 6; Win 11 Home. Hardware: Intel i9, 32 Gb; Roland Integra-7, Presonus Studio 192, Presonus Faderport 8, Royer 121, Adam Sub8 & Neumann 120 monitors
Thank you fellas. I have been on to PG. It took an hour or more, but this is what we jointly decided:
Please nbote that these issues follow after a complete reinstall advised by PG vafter other issues six weeks ago.
1] When the style picker is first launched before a rebuild, then all styles are shown, you can therefore try to select a style which you do not actaully possess. the quick view function will play a sample, but the style itself is not on your machine. You CAN favoritise this phantom style, but you cannot select it and use it. I must have done this and favorited it. it would not load.
2] I rebuilt the style list but the style the styles in question vanished from the stylepicker, but remained in my favourites list as a n/a (NON APPLICABLE?) style
3] The download manager in my case is misreporting that I have not installed 3 setup files for styles. I have installed these numerous times, they are still being misreported! They are showing in the "what styles do you have" dialgue, but not the download manager.
4] "The what styles do I have" dialogue reports that I do not have any missing styles
5] After rebuilding the style list the remaining styles seem to work
6] The Style packs are not included in the "What styles do I have dialogue" (which you have to realise telepathically)and the style I was struggling with, is in a style pack that I did not own - so it would not have show up anyway.
I have never really understood the difference between mega plus omni ultra audiophile xtra packs, plus packs, bonus packs and jam sandwiches. I just want the thing to work.

Probably N/A = Not Available
BIAB & RB2024 Win.(Audiophile), Sonar Platinum, Cakewalk by Bandlab, Izotope Prod.Bundle, Roland RD-1000, Synthogy Ivory, Kontakt, Focusrite 18i20, KetronSD2, NS40M Monitors, Pioneer Active Monitors, AKG K271 Studio H'phones
I have had this problem sporadically in recent builds, having styles not load and alternately having an access error window pop up. Styles load and I don’t get the access error message has if I doubleclick the style selected first. I’m not sure what is happening but think there may be a bug.
*Ultra Pack has most styles / real tracks. I think Omni pack has everything. All others have less content that will show as N/A (Not Available) --------------
I am just guessing here. You have over 1600 posts so you must have been around for some time... And most likely have a lot of Real Tracks and styles from previous versions prior to 2019.... Could it be that you did not install previous content and only upgraded the software program part?

For the larger Band-in-a-Box® packages (UltraPAK, UltraPAK+, Audiophile Edition), the hard drive backup copy is available for only $25. This will include a preinstalled and ready to use program, along with your installation files.

Note: the Band-in-a-Box® keychain is only included with flash drive backup copies, and cannot be purchased separately.
Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows® Today!
Update your Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows for free with build 1111!
With this update, there's more control when saving images from the Print Preview window, we've added defaults to the MultiPicker for sorting and font size, updated printing options, updated RealTracks and other content, and addressed user-reported issues with the StylePicker, MIDI Soloists, key signature changes, and more!
A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
