Here's my contribution to the Xtra Styles Contest:

BROKEN

Some magnificent styles in this pack most of them are radio ready.
As far as I'm concerned the PG team can feel free to do this every year ;-)

I immediately liked the style _Broken from the Pop/Rock section of the styles pack. It is heavy and melodic at the same time.
Hence, I decided to write a dramatic rock song using the very same title 'Broken'.
The song is about a man who caused a lethal car accident, and so the theme of the song is also quite heavy.

Since I'm not exactly a hard rock singer, it took me some time to master the song properly and to make my voice and the lyrics audible.
I used the Z3TA+ synthesizer to both master the song and enhance my vocals.

Anne-Marie will soon follow with a song from the Singer/Songwriter section.

Hope y'all like it!

Rob

Lyrics:

I, I want to make you see
that for all days to come
you'll have a hold on me
and I, I wanted you to know
that you will always be
the biggest part of me

were we really there?
was that real?
was there never a way out?
because I can't believe
there will always be this pain

I, I would give the world
to be next to you
just to be near to you
cause you, you're the very heart
being so much more than I could ever want
were you really there?
was that real?
will it always feel this dark?
as you were sitting there
that sudden silence
the life flowing out of you
away from everything I knew

was I really there?
was that real?
was there never a way out?
because I can't accept
that it was me
it was me who drove that car
it was me who ran that wild
were you really there?
was that you?
will it always be this cold
because I can't believe
there will always be this pain
