Hi All! Newbie here! How can I align the Bar numbers on my DAW to the Bar Numbers in the Chord Sheet (Or the other way around)? Always seems that the DAW Bars are 2 in front of the BIAB Chord entry Sheet? I don't need to have any intro in the BIAB Chord Sheet. Cheers, Ken
Hi rayc! Many thanks for getting back! With apologies for the extended Post! Yes, there appears to be a 2 Bar Intro/Wait from when I start "play" in the DAW then, any Audio input from the DAW (Studio One 6) starts at Bar 3 on the BIAB chord Sheet, with no relationship to the Bar Number of the Song. Studio One 6 can identify the Chords on any selected track and puts them up into the Chord Track. Because the two Bar Numberings are different, it makes it a little difficult to read the DAW Chords and enter them into the BIAB Chord Sheet. On a separate but associated problem. I have created a MIDI Track File (Using Melodyne) to make use of the "Load Chords from MIDI File) from the "File" Button but, there are no other steps available (as far as I can see) and Drag and Drop doesn't produce any results except that the Chord Sheet pop up message says, "Drag and Drop". This facility would be of huge assistance in cutting down production time!
Kenny, I don't encounter that problem as I usually don't do any DAW tracking until I've pulled in the bits I need from BIAB - including the DAW VST. It is easy, in most DAWS to add a couple of bars at the front of the project & if the DAW tempo etc is the same as the SGU/BIAB stuff you'll have no problems doing that. Alternately you can, in BIAB, elect not to have the count in which might be your best option since you've set up the DAW 1st. In he printed manual p 79 addresses the lead in. For the online/digital manual it's half way down Chapter 5 - Play Songs it's one screen down from https://www.pgmusic.com/manuals/bbw2020full/chapter5.htm#playingpausingstopping-songs Preferences Count In/Met. have a look & see if ALLOW LEAD IN BARS IS SELECTED. If it is, & I presume it is by default, remove the tick and you should then find the two bars gone. I don't know if this works retrospectively though.

I went to the link you gave for the Manual. Thanks heaps!
This particular part only opens the Preferences Dialogue Box in the stand-alone version, but the preferences in the VST version are much more limited! AS you mentioned, there's no big deal about lining up the BIAB Tracks once they are copied into the DAW Song. It's just that I haven't found a setting which will allow me to play the BIAB Song along with the DAW Song before I choose which tracks/style to copy over from BIAB. Cheers
If I understand your question, I think this has been fixed.
There is a Bar Offsite you can set which will move the start of the BIAB VST song to synch with where you want it to start in the DAW. This will remove the two bar lead in if it is present. Or if you render the file in the VST, you can simply remove the leadin bars (which you can also do back in BIAB).
Hi Guys! Apologies for not getting back to you sooner! I'm learning to work around this issue and it's not a big issue! Once again many thanks for your guidance. I still a newbie getting to grips with all of the many features of BIAB and I've found a couple more problems that I can't solve and I'll put these up very soon.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.

A few excerpts:
"The Tracks view is possibly the single most powerful addition in 2024 and opens up a new way to edit and generate accompaniments. Combined with the new MultiPicker Library Window, it makes BIAB nearly perfect as an 'intelligent' composer/arranger program."
"MIDI SuperTracks partial generation showing six variations – each time the section is generated it can be instantly auditioned, re-generated or backed out to a previous generation – and you can do this with any track type. This is MAJOR! This takes musical experimentation and honing an arrangement to a new level, and faster than ever."
"Band in a Box continues to be an expansive musical tool-set for both novice and experienced musicians to experiment, compose, arrange and mix songs, as well as an extensive educational resource. It is huge, with hundreds of functions, more than any one person is likely to ever use. Yet, so is any DAW that I have used. BIAB can do some things that no DAW does, and this year BIAB has more DAW-like functions than ever."
