Hola

Pido disculpa ante todo porque son mis primeros pasos con BIAB y quizá esta pregunta suene muy elemental

Quiero poder usar BIAB como acompañamiento de lo que ejecuto en el piano pero cuando practico necesito hacerlo con auriculares. Por lo tanto lo que pensé hacer fue ingresar con mi piano por la entrada MIDI y tocar sobre la canción que tengo hecha en BIAB , escuchando el resultado final por la salida de auriculares de la notebook
Todo parecía funcionar pero mi piano se escuchaba mucho más bajo que los acordes o el acompañamiento de BIAB . Me puse a buscar en internet y entré a los ajustes de la entrada MIDI.
Bueno algo toqué , pero mi piano dejó de escucharse como un piano , pasó a escucharse como un sintetizador o algo por el estilo y no pude solucionar mi problema original.
Podrán ayudarme a que mi piano vuelva a sonar como un piano y a la vez que le pueda aumentar su volumen cuando ingreso como midi, de manera que sea comparable con los acordes de la canción ?

Hola Danilo64, bienvenido al foro de Band-in-a-Box, y por favor no te preocupes por lo compleja o básica que puedan ser tus dudas o preguntas, aquí estamos para tratar de resolverlas, sin importar el grado de conocimientos o experiencia de nuestros usuarios.

En tu caso, es importante determinar que instrucciones o data MIDI se están enviando desde el dispositivo o teclado controlador MIDI que utilizas, ya que al enviar un cambio de programa (Program Change) la fuente de sonidos, sea una tabla de ondas, un instrumento o sampler virtual, van a responder a dicha instrucción generando un cambio de programa en los mismos que no corresponda al piano específicamente.

Lo mismo ocurrirá con el volumen, el cual sera modificado de acuerdo a un mensaje MIDI de vol. (CC 7) enviado externamente o programado determinada-mente en Band-in-a-Box, o en la canción cargada.

Por razones prácticas y de estudio, en tu caso te recomiendo utilizar un instrumento o fuente de timbres MIDI que se ajuste al estándar básicamente al General MIDI GM1 (o sus derivaciones GM2, XG etc).
Bajo los lineamientos del GM, y conociendo los números de programa asignados a la lista o mapa de instrumentos, que van desde el 1 al 128, siempre vas a obtener el que deseas usar. Por ejemplo, el Piano Acústico siempre será el programa número 01 (aunque algunos módulos o teclados lo consideran el número 00).

Debes estar seguro de dos cosas, primero que tu controlador MIDI no este enviando predeterminadamente un cambio de programa a Band-in-a-Box, y segundo, que la canción que tengas cargada no contenga un cambio de programa predeterminado.


Como recurso extra existe una ventana de configuración en Band-in-a-Box llamada “Opciones MIDI” (Preferencias/Opciones MIDI) en la que se puede modificar y cambiar ciertas opciones relativas a las operaciones MIDI dentro del programa y que igualmente pueden afectar a componentes externos tales como teclados o módulos.
En el caso de que no desees que se efectúen cambios “a distancia” o pre-determinados de instrumentos, podrías desactivar la casilla “Permite Cambios/Prog” pero debes recordar que al hacerlo solo podrás efectuar cambios de instrumentos manualmente en el instrumento virtual o módulo externo. Esto se recomienda para sesiones donde solo se requiera de un instrumento fijo.

A continuación te anexo algunos enlaces que te servirán de guía y comprensión del estándar General MIDI y los listados de instrumentos y cambios de programa correspondientes a cada uno. Inténtalo en principio de esta forma y si continúa el problema trataremos de resolverlo. Igualmente no estaría de mas que nos dijeras que controlador MIDI externo estas utilizando.
