Please help when i import wave file backing track then I sing in next track I dont think the two tracks are in sync Can this be if so how do l fix and yes I am singing in time thanks
We'll be glad to help, but we may need more information as most of us haven't had this problem, so I'm not sure what would cause it.
How did you import the wave file? What buttons did you click to import it? I assume you are indeed listening to the PT recorded backing track while you sing with it.
When you imported the wave file did you get a pop up asking to convert it to the same bit rate as the project? If so what did you select?
I'd suggest trying to start over and import it again, watching for any pop ups or flash messages. They may give clues.

There is a setting in Prefs - Audio for 'Recording Latency' Try changing this setting to fix. It's the only simple setting I know of.
Like Pipeline mentioned above, if you already have the track recorded you can also highlight the section you want to move, then hold the CTRL key and 'click/hold/drag' the track where you want it to be using either the Tracks window or the Audio Edit window.

The Recording Offset MS (MME Only) setting in the lower right corner of the Audio Preferences dialog should help if recording in MME. Try setting it to something like 40ms, but you could experiment with various values.

Handy flash drive tip: Always try plugging in a USB device the wrong way first? If your flash drive (or other USB plug) doesn't have a symbol to indicate which way is up, look for the side with a seam on the metal connector (it only has a line across one side) - that's the side that either faces down or to the left, depending on your port placement.
